Im finding out now that age really means shizz!!
I married a man 18 yrs older my boyfreinds were my age now I'm dating. Only dating! A 33 yr old he's just as mature as the others. Sometimes more so to me. To me. I'm discovering it does not mean a lot!! But there are things ya have to consider the maturity level of those involved I'm finding is a big one!!: |

Kiss, if you're 21, you're an adult, that means you can make choices. And you will live with those choices good or bad. If you happen to find someone 40 or 42, and you love them, DO NOT let others dictate to you that this is wrong, or too soon, or whatever. Go with your heart, and who cares what other people think. If your preferences are timeless, regardless of age, then go with what your heart knows to be right, not what other people say.

I use to date older men like by 10 years my age. It was all fine & dandy until my ex husband didn't want to continue doing things I enjoyed & kept me confined by myself at home. Now, I find myself attracted to those more around my age or a few years younger. Like 35 & up now. I like the age range between 35-45. I'm 43 now.

some peoply say ,"age just a number" but yet it causes so much problem in a relationship everybody is entitled to their own opinion but i do believe that a 40yr old can find happiness in the arms of a younglin maybe i am wrong It can happen...but as a realist that I am, it doesn't always work out. Generation gap and all of that, damn kids have no respect...don't tell me what to do oldie...etc. |

to me the numbers matter.
i don't want to date anyone old enough to be my daughter(and yeah i'm at that age now, scary), and i'm not going to date anyone close to my mom's age (too creepy). so, between 25 and 45 is about my range. . . . |

32-42ish. I won't date younger. I've dated 15-18 years older, and it was fine and fun, but it didn't work either.

i think "age just a number as long as you are happy dose it mater if my 18-year-old daughter were dating a 40+ man, yes it would matter very much to me. |

as long as both parties are of legal age, then age is just a number maturity is what mainly determines if the relationship will work and then comes what you have in common, movies, sex, etc...
just enjoy life live it how ever you want it and be happy you only live once........... |

The problem with trying to be with someone younger than you is that they're usually immature as hell. And unless you're willing to put up with that ********, I don't see how it's worth it.

imho - physical age, and level of maturity are two different things. I for one see nothing wrong with a 15-16 year gap (either way) if both people are compatible, at equal maturity levels and want similar things. I do not choose on the physical age, but the maturity age, their character, belief system... ect...
does it work? Just as much as any other relationship... $.02 |

I have 2 age requirements and thats about it...
A. You have to be old enough to buy me a drink B. You can't be old enough to be my dad |

The younger the guy, the more immature and/or inconsiderate he is. If you've known younger guys who were mature and capable of thinking of someone besides themselves, great, I've never known of any and I doubt that they exist.
In my opinion. |

LA, I so agree. You read my mind. I am 43 and personally try to date either someone my age or a few years older. Makes a WORLD of difference. |
