That's from Chris Smith who also did the excellent Severance and Triangle. He's one of the best new directors of horror. When people talk about new Masters of horror, I don't think Rob Zombie, I think of guys like Smith who are doing something original in the horror genre. Rob Zombie is not a Master of Horror, he's just F***ed Up  But there are some who do consider him one. |

This is one of many films that Army of Darkness pays homage to- the eyeball on the shoulder, and when Good Ash and Bad Ash split is very similar to the split in The Manster. Check out Doghouse if you haven't seen it yet. I think Skyline opens this week. Thanks, will take a look and see if I can find it here in Ireland. So it's a global release on the same day for Skyline, usually the US gets the movies first. |

It had all the necessary ingredients to put together a traditional and delightfully clichéd creature-feature. A severed thumb up! |
