Re watched:

De lift 1983- Movie about killer elevator. Sound familiar? Dick Maas who wrote and directed the original remade his own film as Down aka The Shaft in 2001 with Naomi Watts. I prefer the original, a very fun ride....that has it's ups and downs. Oh c'mon, you knew I was going to say it.

Do you mean Night Of The Living Dead? Tallman is great. Not only a good actress, but an accomplished stunt woman. She was Nana Visitor's stunt-double on Deep Space 9, also a stunt woman for Voyager and The Next Gen.

Shhh....don't tell anyone, she did a topless scene in George Romero's Knightriders.

Wow, I put Date? That was not a play on words, but now that I think about it... Anyways, Patricia Tallman just has a very strong presence as an actress with what I have seen of her works. I would be curious to imagine a role for her in Resident Evil Movie franchise. Guess she was ahead of her time.

There is a movie with that title- Night Of The Living Date, it's a comedy from '92. I've never seen it though.

I prefer Tallman's Barbara to the original.

Slumber Party Massacre 2 Extremely entertaining slasher musical. The killer sings, dances, and uses a guitar-drill. Not to mention attacking roasted chickens, and exploding zits.

Dr. Tarr's Torture Dungeon 1973 (aka The Mansion Of The Doomed)
Entertaining Mexican horror based on Edgar Allan Poe's The System Of Dr Tarr and Professor Fether. The inmates of an insane asylum have free reign.

The Witches Mountain 1972. I finally got around to watching this Spanish horror film which is included on the Chilling Classic 50 Movie Set. Uh...what? A guy with a big mustache meets a girl on a beach, and she agrees to go to the mountains with him. They wander around the mountain, meet weird people, jeep gets stolen, they find it, she gets stolen, he finds her...rinse repeat. Oh yeah and there are some witches at the end...hope I didn't spoil it. Beautiful mountain scenery was the highlight.

Enter The Void 2009- It's hard to go into detail without giving things away- a drug-dealing teen dies, and then comes back as a ghost to watch over his sister. The director Gaspar Noé describes it as a "psychedelic melodrama". A very visually stunning film.

Dellamorte Dellamore (1994 -Italy)
(zombierama)

Alternate Titles:

Cemetery Man
Demons '95
Of Death, of Love

On the surface, Dellamorte Dellamore, released in the US as Cemetery Man, is a simple film about a cemetery caretaker, Francesco Dellamorte, and his assistant, Gnaghi, fighting against zombies rising from their graves. The caretaker (Rupert Everett) hasn't told anybody else about this problem because he doesn't want to deal with the paperwork.

However, the movie is actually not so much a zombie film (but believe me, there are zombies galore) as an examination of life, death, love, and the boundaries between. If that sounds pretentious and hokey, well, it's because I lack the skill to sum the themes of the film up more adroitly. As Francesco is dealing with the zombies, he encounters a beautiful woman, known simply as "She" (Anna Falchi), who reappears as different characters throughout the movie (and gets my Zombie Oscar for Sexiest Zombie). At the same time, Gnaghi is courting a young local girl who has died recently (not that this is a barrier in this movie).

I am probably too much of a literalist to get all there was to get from this movie, but hidden depths aside, it's still a great zombie flick. There is lots of action, great zombie makeup, and a great script. Even non-lovers of the zombie genre may get something out of it, if they don't mind the usual zombie violence.

I knew you'd drool. I'm not a guy and I find her sexy. laugh

Yep, this is also in my top ten Zombie films. I'm currently deciding which one is a notch higher, Barindead or Shaun of the Dead. But will be watching Re-Animator next.
