I finally saw the Boondock Saints over the weekend!  There is an interesting story about Troy Duffy trying to get that movie made it is called " Overnight " you can get it from netflix. I was kind of worried that I'd be disappointed, because many of my friends told me how great it was and I thought it might not live up to that. But, I was not disappointed and thought it was good! |

Just watched " Election " & " Triad Election " by Johnny To from Hong Kong. Excellent dialogue driven gangster films , not the shoot 'em up kind. In Cantonese so subtitles are a must , unless you speak Cantonese of course ....

I just saw "Watchmen" and I was enthralled I've heard a lot of people say it sucked but I was surprised and amazed that it was original, excellent characters, well written and not overly verbose dialogue, and a really cool plot I had to watch it again as soon as it was over I want to be Rorschach I liked Watchmen too. And like Lord of the Rings fans did with Jackson's films- you have half the Watchmen comics fans saying the film adaptation of Watchmen was excellent, and the other half saying it was a travesty. |

Been getting caught up on some flicks, so here is what I have seen these past few weeks. ZOMBIELAND: I laughed so hard. Thank God Woody was in this. The "Zombie kill of the week" spot was classic. DISTRICT 9: Wow! This was a brilliant film that should have gotten more recognition. THE COLLECTOR: You can tell that the dudes who had alot to do with the SAW series were behind this. It wasn't a bad movie. Just not what I thought it was going to be. BOONDOCK SAINTS 2: Don't feel it was as good as the first one, but I was glad they used Billy Connoly more. And....OMW....Julie Benz is freaking hot! I saw Boondock Saints 2 last night I agree with you Goof ... Julie Benz's freaking Hot! |

I just saw Daybreakers. The spin on vampire movies was pretty interesting. I also like how they redeemed the name Edward as a vampire, lol. No freakin shiny vamps, but a vamp that is engulfed in a whirlwind of flame when the sun touches him. bad-***.

Zombieland was GREAT! Anytime I watch a zombie movie, I have to laugh at it, even if it is not meant as a comedy. So it was great that this one actually was a comedy! I laughed even harder!
Besides...I LOVE Woody Harrelson! He reminds me of my first ex!

Although I have often wondered how much those people get paid to lurch around on screen for those movies! Hell I could do that much acting! LOL! Ok..lol...I will...thanks hun! |

Although I have often wondered how much those people get paid to lurch around on screen for those movies! Hell I could do that much acting! LOL! Ok..lol...I will...thanks hun! I think a lot of people do it for free. On the DVD commentary for the original Dawn of the Dead they said they never had a shortage of zombie extras because all the people in the area wanted to be involved. Another excellent, and very original humorous zombie film is "Fido"- where the undead are used as domestic servants. Billy Connolly in the title role(great zombie performance!  )

I've got my 12 year old daughter this weekend and shes making me sit through chick flicks :( Bride Wars, 10 Things I hate About You and Coyote Ugly (actually I really like this one
 ) After this I am gonna make her watch Under Siege 1 and 2. She gets squirmish around fighting, blood and death. Paybacks a *****.
