Is there a difference? If so, do you live life or merely exist?

For me, living without some sort of creative outlet would be mere existence, and a shabby existence at that.

I exist to live.

I'm living. I think there is a difference. Some people are living week to week. Don't have enough money to even go out.

I merely exist.

The concep of living seems pointless / scary.

Just taking up oxygen and other resources for my f**ked up existence.

I think I live a shabby existence.

i think we all go thru times where we live and other times we just exist, at least i know i do.

These are the exact words I used on my mom when we were discussing this!

I exist, according to her, I don't live life to the fullest because I'm alone. I'd be happier, she thinks, if I could "open my heart" to someone.

I claim that I've lived my life to the best of my ability, whether it's been a solo journey for the most part or not. Just because I haven't attained all my goals yet, or been lucky enough to experience love, it doesn't negate me having "lived" a good life.

But I also understand what she's saying, and secretly agree that I don't live life to the fullest. I exist, doing the same thing day after day, a blip in the monotony every once in awhile, but for the most part, it's a pretty mundane life. Do I exist or live?

I thought it was an interesting idea...

SO SOON I shall change THAT,,and become a local person to see and be a Regular in one area to know it and those there,,as for them to have that same option to know me, wink, LIVING!


SO YES,,there is a big DIFFERENCE in the TWO..

I'm currently tending a moss garden ...

While waitin' for my fan club and cabana boys to finish building my empire ...
