Topic: what is your purpose?

I have no purpose. I'm now early retired with Social Security Disability and I do nothing but sit around the house pretty much 24/7. That, and my wife of 35 years divorced me a year and a half ago and I'm still dealing with the grief of that. I've always wondered why the street people with those carts we see, want to continue to live in the situations they're in, rather then just die. They must have an extreme survival instinct. I'm not trying to be nasty and insensitive, but they're just a burden on society and I would never be able to handle that kind of life. I absolutely hate my life and would consider it a "blessing" to go to sleep and just not wake-up. This is probably way more then you were expecting in your thread, but sometimes it's good to vent. humm well maybe learning to change a bit.. learning to be more positive, and to love all, rich, poor middle class.. for every one is individual.. and each individual is in a situation for a different reason... i remember back when i was 15.. and used to see the bum on the corner most everyday as i walked pass.. downtown Seattle.. one day i had some extra money.. bought the guy lunch.. gave no money to him.. but ate with him as well.. i never knew this guy talked... but ill tel you what... i bet he remembers me.. the person who did not judge him... he had some great stories to tell and not many talked to him because he was considered a bum.. i considered him human.. was a great lunch and most appreciated by him. so many people are un appreciative for what they have.. for what is given to them...anger and greed takes them over... hope you feel better soon!! cause no one should feel that way!!

I believe were all meant to be happy The big school of life is part of that, learning lessons along the way and figuring out what makes us happy. Were only able to give to others what we have. If were not happy how can we spread happiness, if we don't love ourselves, how can we love others, if were not at peace how can we be peaceful. I say were all here do do what makes us happy...

....purpose?.... ...to purposely cause no harm, to tread lightly on this earth, to understand the reality of flawed humankind and to not collapse into a 'less than' state. ...to grow these young people up with the clearest path I can provide, and to equip them with humility, empathy, compassion and a solid acceptance of the WHO of them, not get caught up in the self indulgence of the WHAT of themselves. ...to pay it forward....with integrity and a solid core of inner truth.

It's not difficult to be who we are...irrespective of other's perceptions...I so get what you meant, M.....I have that happen with a few here also...that instant jolt... if I married everyone of them, I'd be a polygamist!!!!!!...or very very busy......
