get a letter saying your census form would arrive soon???

Another example of our government wasting OUR MONEY.....Just send me the FORM and if I don't return it, then follow up.

that would mean they could do something that made sense.....

When has our government ever spent our money wisely???

Now Now They created jobs with that letter.

Just got mine today. And what does it tell me, you ask? It says (and I quote directly from the letter) ...

"... About one week from now, you will receive a 2010 Census form in the mail. When you receive your form, please fill it out and mail it in promptly. ... "

From there, it goes on to justify its invasive questioning to come with 'reminders' about how my response will " ... help each community get its fair share of government funds for highways, schools, health facilities, and many other programs you and your neighbors need. Without a complete, accurate, census, your community may not receive its fair share. ... "

Oh. REALLY ... ? I'm quite happy to complete the Constitutionally-required information for the proper conduct of the Census. I will answer the question about the number of people living at my address. Beyond that, show me the Constitutional authority requiring me to provide ANY further information.

And THIS is what our TAX DOLLARS are used for ... ? They really DO expect us to take them seriously ... that's so sad ... The only proper attitude with which to regard Government or 'elected officials' is contempt.

They don't pay 42 cents for each letter like we do. The US Government gets a special first class bulk rate when it sends out millions of these. It only costs about 10 cents each. A 75% reduction in cost.

Total cost is likely no more than $10 million to send to 100 million households.

The Census Bureau has a budget of about 10 billion dollars to conduct this census. They are spending only 0.1% of that to send these out. A tenth of a percent.

And the point IS ... ? It's still money wasted ...

Im not going to fill it out. Im not going to give the govt. any info about me or my household.
