I remember how small the forum was, and even back then when I first joined this site before it changed over. The forurm was always active. There were no mods you could type the word **** and it wasn't blocked like it is now. So chit works people were puting up nude pic's at times and using them on the forum. That didn't usually last long and not a sight to see, but it did happen I remember suggesting in the feed back form to put the new members forum up. If I recall right, it was within two days and they did it. Txsgal teased me about that one I remember how a few people left this site because it was growing and they didn't want to deal with the change. The funny thing about it, It hasn't changed. Just a few new things were added. There are a few other things I remember, but that's another story.



So what do you remember about this site before it changed over to mingle2?

There was a lot of people on the boards and we could laugh and joke and track a run-away hamster all the way to the llamas...and threaten it with colored duct tape, caulk or a dinosaur tape dispenser....cabana boy searches....


Among other things....

I remember not being hit on or IMed SO much, but had normal conversations...people looked at your profile and just said hi like the name of the site suggested or they'd compliment or make joking comments about your page; still get that and I still do that to others, but I think it's changed a LITTLE.

most of all,i remember the people.some are still here but most are gone.they didn't get offended as easily as they do now

I remember when it was JSH and before mods, when people could vote to have the topics deleted, and how members were abusing that privilege. I'm not sure if I remember it not being censored or not, but I've seen this site grow up a little, and it's turning out to be a pretty good site. The community is what I came for, and what I keep coming back for. It's the people that make this site so amazing, and that has never changed, and I hope it never does.

ah the good old days, it was great when i first came here,but now....meh

I was here for JSH (but not during the voting system) I remember a lot of drama and pettiness (and not just in politics)

Everything changes and adjusts. People move on to where their roads take them. It happens all the time.

I miss some of the older posters but I enjoy the new members, as well.

The forums were a bit more active, some folks have left, other new people on board now.

I wasnt in the forums hardly ever, the whole concept of a dating site was all new to me. Joined mostly out of curiosity, .........checked them out alot tho..........shortly then it changed over to mingle2.......
thats when I started going into the forums alot more......

remember when they had both jsh and mingle up and running for a little bit and you could go on both? ~ woo hoo! and they didn't have all these wonderful competitor's ads.

I heard from an old timer that long ago it was nothing but drama and stupid azz threads people would just throw on

they say the people on now are smarter. More sophisticated. Better debators. The threads have more substance to them

I remember a short while ago when people just threw up a thread with one silly word and then you'd sit back and watch people flock to it. Used to laugh my azz off!!!
