there's a lot of things i'd rank as being more important to me in a relationship than romance.
so long as someone is kind and thoughtful, that's romantic enough for me. yes, too much demonstrativeness can be stifling as well as damper the spontaneity. |

For some folks romance is candles, candy, sweet smells and soft music.

It's a small part for me...
Not looking for some guy to view me with rose colored glasses, shower me with insignificant trinkets and such.... If a guy's looking to romance me, he could wash my car, take out the trash, do a load of laundry and not gripe about it.... It's the little things for me, not so much roses and candy..... |

I rank it up there with being kind, thoughtful, caring and loving.
Romance is kind of like the wrapping paper on the gift, so to speak, not a trait of itself, but kind of ties everything all together. |

Very good topic. Romance is very important to me. The little things-the things that don't cost a dime. Like picking flowers or leaving a love note in your lunch. Of course it depends on the personality of the significant other, but I prefer someone that's at least somewhat "mushy".

In a relationship, romance is both essential and integral to maintaining a health happy one IMO. Too much would be kind of a preference thing for some probably not. Too little, most definitely. I don't think a healthy relationship can survive without it.

Romance is crucial- Romance doesnt have to be crushing or smothering. I find it a creative release. Each time I try to do something different, spontaneous, something origional for a date or just because....
It keeps the home fires burning.

Romance is crucial- Romance doesnt have to be crushing or smothering. Especially when it's done right  I believe that romance is the ’spice’ of a relationship. You wouldn’t cook foods without adding some spice, so why love someone without adding the spice of romance?
