Last night an episode happened outside (but that's a whole new Jerry Springer story laugh) but while at there, some kid (I say kid because he is younger and act like a kid) kept yelling at me "yo yo yo yo"

Do I look like a child's toy on a string?

What are some words said these days that you don't like or don't get?

oh man, Im going to show my age, but here goes my short list of verbal put offs

'aight' (there are TWO L's and an R in the word people)
'yep' (does it take that much more effort to say yes?)
'oh my god' (how much really warrants calling on the lord?)

and last but not least
'just saying'
(no kidding, I thought you were just miming or just thinking, didnt realize words had actually come from your mouth)

I have to admit, redundant speech is my biggest turn off, alot of words used to say little or nothing kind of irritates my elementary sensitivities

I never understood where boo originated from laugh

But these things remind me of the Brady Bunch Movie where Greg called a girl a groovy chick...she replied "do I look like a fuzzy yellow bird?"

aww, now BOO I understand.

Boo was the lovable hero at the end of the Kill A Mockingbird movie,,,,I was endeared to him when I watched the story so that name has always been synonymous with warm regards to me

I dislike it when, for example, someone holds a door for you and when you say thank you they reply "no problem" or some such...the correct response to 'thank you' is 'you are welcome'. How basic is that???

I don't like that one either. Then again, I was raised to think using slang was a form of ignorance, so I guess I'm biased.laugh

I can break this down for you. This is an old school cereal reverence. Back in the day there was only Count Chocula and Frankenberry. You were one or the other. Then all of sudden they came out with Boo Berry. I think it means your are sweet but different. Nothing wrong with that...........smokin
