yeah, the worst was by my fiancé's mother, after he passed away from cancer. did everything she could to bash me after i gave up everything for him when he was sick, which of course i did out of love. Well, it sounds like you rose above it all and forgave her. Good for you! I'm so sorry for your loss and the pain afterwards. I don't know why people have to be so cruel. Chin up!

Yes, and I was advised to hold on for a couple more years to the crap, slander and harrassment, that he gave me via email. So It's sitting in a folder.

Anybody ever wage a smear campaign on ya' cuz' they were angry at you?
Only in almost every thread I start. LOL Sometimes people get upset because I clam to be able to do something they cannot. The say I'm lying or call me names. I think it's funny. Even if they are talking about how much they hate me, they're still talking about me. LOL |

Yep...I thought it was funny, because most everything they said I just agreed with because it was true.

The only issue I've ever had with something like this was someone online being angry and telling people what a horrible person I was. I never did find out why that person was so angry.

Why do people do that? To me, if it were a man, it might be attraction in a immature way. If it were a woman, I'd chalk it up to jealousy. I've been set up- literally 2 different times in my life by people to make me look as if I were stealing. I knew I wasn't so held my head up and ignored it all. The truth does come out in the end. They got too confident. |

i just dont pay it any mind...i so honest with people i tend to piss them off some times but everybody that matters knows who i am and how i am so if they choose to believe some made up crap then i dont need that type of friend any way

I've had people talk about me all the time in the past (present and probably future lol)
I can own up to my mistakes and if it isn't true, then I don't worry about pettiness. and I just laugh at people who believe it without even getting both sides. Not really worth my time

When they are talking about me, they are leaving some other poor S.O.B. alone.

Gossip is always a negative thing IMO and can end in hurting others very badly. The problem I see is that gossip is not something that will be going away any time soon in any given population.

True...gossip will never go away, but there's a difference between gossip and carpet bombing a persons reputation bu making phone calls and scattering e-mails to everybody around you . Gossip is day to day...having somebody call everybody you know and e-mail everybody you know and spreading slander is a bit different.

Yes I have ... a former co-worker ... she was mentally unstable so I put up with far more than I should have ... but I was young.
It sucked at the time!
