It's not that anyone doesn't care. It was a lot of emails to have only 3 people besides Tanya and I show up. It is a start though. Why don't you ask some people to meet with you? That's what some of us might do the next time. Or feel free to plan something. The ball's in your court.

i really wanted to come but my friend had her baby and man is that whole situation messed up...the little girls abdominal wall grew first and then the intestines so they got her in a special unit in grand rapids...and in about a week they are going to put them back in her...
 its a terrible sight....
maybe we can get one going during an event... we have camp omelet, memorial day weekend it is a riot 
and then the 4th of july to the 12th is the cherry festival in traverse if people want to go to any of these let me know and i'll make appropriate plans |

Yeah - there was a lot of planning for six people to be there, one of which I brought who isn't even on the site.
Hehe. In about 60 days that's what we could coordinate. Maybe with better planning we can figure something out or all meet at an event. |

camp omelet is a 3 day event on the betsy river camp groung it is put on by our local radio station,,bon fire bands 4wheeling canoeing fishing you name it...plus a bunch of hilariously drunk people but the atmosphere is very friendly its athe the end of may...have to purchase tickets for it though and they are limiting the amount this this to about 900
cherry fest is from the 4th of july til the 12th bands every night at the open space,,of course the carnival plus tons of other goodies...i think the blue angels are here this year |

Well don't let it discourage you as far as the meet. We had one in Texas last summer we had 7 show up for a backyard cookout.
The ones that did participate were the ones that actually lived in the area. It helps to get a thread started within your state getting others to post to it that live close and plan it for more so those that live close. It is hard for others that live a distance to attend at times... But get it going within the area then open it up for those that live outside the area as well.... Hopefully we will be able to do it again this year as well. There are a few of use that still get together for Happy Hour still after the meet and have a few drinks and some good conversation.... So just keep trying on the cookout we did it where those that came put in $5 to cover the cost of the food and it was a BYOB.... for those that wanted to drink. |
