Generally their attitude about life and relationships. Even their pictures can reflect a certain attitude about them.

the smoking and drinking part.... i dont judge, im just curious about those things.
I'm a smoker but i dont put it in my profile Cuz I am trying real hard to quit, and ill succeed by spring! in my head: Mind over matter, mind over matter..Cancer = no good...  Must not become impotent at before 60. Smiles are dealbreakers, dont mess it up!

well some sort of physical attraction first...then the attitude..problem is getting both plus local

I like profiles that are well-written, and that actually say something about the people who wrote them. Longer is better, as far as I'm concerned, if there's some substance. Cliches, vapidity, and "I don't know what to write here" don't do anything for me.
A sense of humor is good, too. |

You asked. If I glance down and see a thousand word essay, I just don't bother reading it cause anyone with that much to say WILL say all of it again (usually over and over) during the course of chatting on the forums. |

Well even though it is pictures that catch my eye as far as online then it is the persons personality and the way they carry a conversation if they can carry one.
Their personality and conversation will tell the tale in the end if they keep my attention...... |

I look at pictures first because you can learn a lot from them. then I read the profiles

I feel the same way there has to be and attraction somewhere there.... That just may be where chemistry starts...who knows? If I'm nothing else, I am honest...or try to be as much as possible!

Amen sister. I check the photo first. If i can get past that, I check their height. If I can get past that, I read the profile. If I can get past that, I MIGHT flirt a bit in the forums.
