I've often thought of a day at the Louvre, a castle gazing trip down the Rhine, scuba on the Great Barrier Reef.

I once skiied, surfed, and made love in the course of a day (with cooperating weather/waves the whole way)...but...

...I think a simple pinic in a grassy park (anywhere), staring into the eyes I love, perhaps teaching a little one how to ride a bike; would be about as close to perfect as I could hope for.

How 'bout you?

The second part would be perfect for me..excluding the teaching of the little one to ride a bike since I have done that several times, then teenagers to drive cars..I'd pass on that.
Ending it with the perfect sunset, sunsets are specular when you hear the music while watching them. Takes my breath away.

My grandparents 50th, the WHOLE family was there. Upon getting a chance to hug and talk to Grandpa, he said, "I'm so glad you are here, this is "perfect".

I must admit to getting a bit choked up.

Ive spent a day in the Louvre. I think i got to see about 0.0001% of the stuff they have there, its a pretty darn huge place.

The best part is hearing the guards shout at somebody about every five seconds for using a flash camera to take a picture of the Mona Lisa.

I'm filled with envy.....even for being shouted at.

I spent yesterday morning shopping for fun gifts to add to what I had already bought and knit for my mom's 68th birthday and then spent about two hours searching for sea glass on my little beach. I found a piece of petrified wood that my folks think I should have authenticated and dated. Then a birthday dinner at my folks home. It was an amazing 40 degrees, no wind and very sunny, amazing when you consider I live on the mid coast of Maine...it was a perfect day.

Not that it really matters but I meant my mom's 78th birthday! So for any of you who did the math - no she was not 12 (or whatever - I have not done the math!) when she had me! LOL

Such a romamtic you are, so nice.
I would love to sit on the beach at the ocean I grew up near late in the day, after a day at the Metropolitan Mus. of Art, and go to a little late lunch with my family in the Village. All my family of course. To make it completely perfect...we wouldn't run out of time for anything until felt had accomplished what had set out to do at each event. Of course, go to the NY Botanical Gardens when every thing is in bloom.

I had a perfect day in January. We went to a museum, Hollywood and then watched movies all evening. Since those activities are not that special I'm guessing it was the company that made it the perfect day. Which probably means that it doesn't matter nearly as much what you're doing as who you're doing it with.
