From newsweek (August 21, 2008)

In June, the Obama campaign released a digitally scanned image of his birth certificate to quell speculative charges that he might not be a natural-born citizen. But the image prompted more blog-based skepticism about the document's authenticity. And recently, author Jerome Corsi, whose book attacks Obama, said in a TV interview that the birth certificate the campaign has is "fake."

We beg to differ. FactCheck.org staffers have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate. We conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship. Claims that the document lacks a raised seal or a signature are false. We have posted high-resolution photographs of the document as "supporting documents" to this article. Our conclusion: Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said

..........I dont think Obama or his administration could post it often enough, outside of personally showing it to every nay sayer, some will always question it,,,which is a shame

Until you poll all 308 million Americans living here I really could care less about what the polls say.Polls are influenced by the cities they are taken in.Take a poll in Memphis and 95% of the people love Obama.Take the same poll in Anchorage,Alaska and 95% of the people hate him.You want positive polls for Obama go to the liberal cities. You want negative polls go to the Conservative cities.

Not Sure 19

Ummm..correct me if I'm wrong in ... It's not "Me the president" but "We the People" ..at least that's how I knew, and the people pledge allegiance to the flag and the Constitution and not the president of USA.

Actually the Constitution even outlines that it's not only an option but a duty to impeach anyone , even replace the congress if they are no longer serving the will of the majority.

And secession has happened before, not even once and it's a quite legal and allowed to secede for the states, if they find the Federal Government poking into the powers given to the states or overruling them, which is also unconstitutional.

Obama has presented his certificate of birth which is not the same as your birth certificate.A certificate of birth is given to you at the hospital, signed by witness's,and sometimes has your finger or foot prints on it.When I used to go to Canada I had this hospital birth certificate and they always told me that it was not a legal document because it could be printed and forged by anyone and was not endorced by a government agency.Even though it had two witness signatures,my footprints, stamps, and everthing else on it.They told me that my real birth certificate was in the county building and I would have to pay to get a copy of it.Believe it or not,my mother nor I have ever seen it before.

So the reason this never ending birth certificate issue keeps coming up is because he has never shown the offical government birth certificate and only the hospital birth certificate.Obama himself has admitted he has never shown his government issued birth certificate. Many people believe that the reason he doesn't show his birth certificate is because it would show his religion as "Muslim" on it.Obama claims to be Christian and changing from a Muslim to a Christian is punishable by death.Obamas own grandmother swore he was never born in Hawaii.

well, thats odd, You are right that we get a certificate of live birth at the hospital ( I remember when my daughter was born three years ago). I also remember this document was not good for ANYTHING because it wasnt official. The document we had to go to records to get had a RAISED SEAL and was signed by the registrar. The latter document is what was presented by the OBama administration and is the exact type of document I have to show for a passport, drivers license or any other document showing citizenship,,,, I didnt realize hospital documents had the RAISED seal,,,they didnt when I was born(and thats been since OBama was born) and they didnt just three years ago when I had my daughter

researching the issue further this is what I found: apparently there are long form and short form certificates( I have never had nor received a long form). As indicated the short form is just an edited version of the long form and every bit as valid. In Hawaii, according to the health department, they do not ISSUE long forms and have not done so since 2001 when all births since 1908 were transferred to electronic file and issued only in what is referred to as short form. Unless someone had a long form and kept it all these years( I dont have my birth certificate anymore and have to reorder from the health department, It is probably not so rare), the only document that is going to be issued is the VALID short from that has already been presented.
