Let us pay homage to dangerous women. How many can we all name?

To start this list I begin with Lizzy Borden.

I wanted to say Loraina Bobbit (I love saying the name). SHE DOES NOT COUNT! She may have whacked off her cheating husband's pee pee but it was reattached and he made a porn movie after the fact. Sorry but she didn't kill any one.

MONTESANO, Wash. -- A 43-year-old Elma woman was convicted of controlled substance homicide in the drug overdose death of an 18-year-old neighbor.

Brenda J. Zillyette shared her prescription methadone and anti-anxiety pills last spring with Austin C. Burrows, who ground them into a powder he snorted. Family members found him April 1, dead in bed.

In a non-jury trial, Grays Harbor County Superior Court Judge Gordon Godfrey found Zillyette guilty Wednesday and ordered her to jail. She faces more than four years in prison when she is sentenced March 8.

-----------

Wow, only 4 years for killing someone, that's a sweet deal.

"SWEET DEAL?"

-Waneta Hoyt (1965-1971) killed 5 of her 6 children in Oswego, New York by suffocation, claiming they had just stopped breathing. The case came on the advent and discovery of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), and one of her children became the first in the nation to be placed on a special monitor at home. The child died anyway, and Waneta said the machine malfunctioned. The trial became a test case on the medical validity of SIDS. The syndrome was determined valid, and Waneta was found innocent. In 1994, however, she confessed to the killings, but later recanted in 1995. A trial in 1995 convicted her to life in prison.

Jane Toppan (1854 - 1938), born Honora Kelley, confessed to 31 murders in 1901. She is quoted as saying that her ambition was "to have killed more people — helpless people — than any other man or woman who ever lived...". During her residency, training to be a nurse at Cambridge Hospital, she used her patients as guinea pigs in experiments with morphine and atropine; she would alter their prescribed dosages to see what it did to their nervous systems. However, she would spend a lot of time alone with those patients, making up fake charts and medicating them to drift in and out of consciousness and even get into bed with them. It is not known whether any sexual activity went on when her victims were in this stage but when Jane Toppan was asked after her arrest, she answered that she derived a sexual thrill from patients being near death, coming back to life and then dying again. Toppan would administer a drug mixture to patients she chose as her victims, lie in bed with them and hold them close to her body as they died.
