Topic: Those nasty vicious pitbulls, again! | |

http://www.petsdo.com/blog/top-ten-10-most-dangerous-dog-breeds ^there's your link, funny though the doberman is also number 1 in the most amazing dogs.....they are far too intelligent for theire own good.....I think mine uses the computer when I'm at work, every time I come home the mouse is on the floor:) I've seen rankings where pitties were ranked down around 15-20 with labrador retrievers, and several small dogs higher up ^and don't think labs can't hold their own either....you know chows are nasty and can actually dominate most pits, except those trained to fight....wonder here they rank the delaware blue hen.....lmao Ha! Thanks for the link, it lead me to the other site that I couldn't think of. The American Temperment Testing Site keeps an ongoing list of breed statistics as to who is more aggressive then each other breedwise. APBT's and other pitties rank highly on the good side. http://www.atts.org/stats1.html |

along time ago i use to go hog hunting with my cousin. we would run the dogs to chase the hog,all of them were pitbulls.these pitbulls to see what they did to the hogs sometimes most people would think they were evil demonic dogs but they were the nicest well mannered dogs you would ever meet when they weren,t chasing hogs that is......actually where my cousin lives pitbull fighting was the bomb back in the day,but i will have to say rednose pits are rather mean its more of a gene thing for them, but thats from my experience

Not sure why since the Dogos were bred to hunt hogs and jaguar. But now there's Pogo's runnig around. Grrr. |

Note for my book of thoughts on idiocy, DOG FIGHTING IS NOT A SPORT
true story, two kids about 16 and 17 were walking their pits, they met in a playgreound and tried to entice the pits to fight one another, they grabbed them and stood them face to face, pushing them into one another, kept at it for some time desperately trying to make them fight, finally the one pit lunged at one of the boys and chomped down on his arm, short version the kid lost his arm and will be forever reminded that DOG FIGHTING IS NOT A SPORT, now the funny part to this story and yes I find it funny, the owners didn't even know that the two dogs came from the same litter, they were brothers....I guess blood is thicker than stupidity. |

So many breeds of dogs out there, why does someone wake up one morning and decide that they want to buy or adopt a pit bull? It can't be random, there's some sort of stigma or bias attached to this.

to be honest you won't find a more adorable and playful puppy, and I've never owned a pit but I see the attraction, however the sad thing is they can become uncontrolable quickly if not handled right.....

I used to have an awesome pit named Bones. My little niece could ride him like a horse, poke him in the eye, or just annoy the bejeezus out of him and he wouldn't even growl let alone bite anyone. He'd only get in attack mode if I gave him the command. And man, talk about a workout. Playing tug with him was quite the bicep builder. Although I do admit the lab I have now pulls nearly as hard, though he can't swing through the air as long as Bones could! I just really like big, strong dogs. Same reason I like big, strong men I guess.
