My father always ate canned fish, like sardines or herring, or even smoked fish, on peanut butter toast, before hunting.

He said it brought him good luck.

I still eat it that way, but not just before hunting. I actually like it. Plus, it may in fact, bring good luck.

Anyone else got any?

My Grandma used to make black eyed peas and ham on new years. She would always put an old silver mercury dime in the dish. If you ended up with it you were supposed to have good luck for the year. Or a broken tooth....

I have tried it, and they are good.

There is a restaurant in Boston that serves peanut-butter bacon cheeseburgers.

That sounds good.

And probably healthier without the mayo.

I'm trying it.

I can make a sandwich out of anything. A sphagetti sandwich. Turkey, mashed potatos, dressing, and gravy sandwich. My favorite is the Wish Sandwich. Take 2 pieces of bread and add lettuce, tomato, onion, slice a cheese, and ranch dressing. Then wish you had some meat.....smokin

blackeyed peas, I'm not sure why, but have been considered a good luck gesture on new years.

So far, that is first suggestion that I probably will NOT try.
