Stopped doing the black eyed peas for New Years, when mom went blind, and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis within the month of January. Good escuse, as I don't like the toast.
I like ranch with everything. Ranch and french fries, ranch of quesadillas, ranch is good. Yum. Now I'm hungry, blast it! |

My Grandma used to make black eyed peas and ham on new years. She would always put an old silver mercury dime in the dish. If you ended up with it you were supposed to have good luck for the year. Or a broken tooth.... yes....my friend lives down south and that is a tradition for New Years...called "Hoppin' John" |

Many hate tofu in any form ...
... I love it grilled w/ veggies, and cook it to perfection. Love it w/ bar.b.q sauce, as well ... I always buy EXTRA firm! I love to make a curried yoghurt dipping sauce for veggie sticks and fries. I love to make baked fries. I make sweet po fries too! An old standard: pineapple w/ cottage cheese ... YUMMO ... all ... ... Let's eat! Edit ... Oh, wait, hold the pb w/ bologna ... |

in west Texas; they make , what they like to call..."Charlie's" (Take any kind of french fries, and pile them on a plate. Next: Put chili on top of these fries. Next: shredded cheese, on top of these hot fries & chili, and let it melt.) Serve with choc. milk shake. We ate many a plate full back in the 1980's.

When I was little my sister and I would take cold hot dogs out of the package and dip them in peanut butter. It doesn't sound good, but it actually wasn't too bad. The hot dogs have to be cold if you want to try it....I am thinking nobody will though lol
