Topic: Dark, Poetic Types | |

I nearly got in a fight with a security guard over stealing crayons when I was 19.
That's not really dark and poetic but I was thinking of crayons. And of course you three are in for free. I'll make punch. |

I'd get in a fight over pastels.....I miss my pastels, I had some really great ones....
Punch is good, you're a great celebrity. |

I'll bring cookies.
I was thinking of seeing if the writers on the board would be interested in a class project. |
I'm game, what'd you have in mind?
Nice touch about the cookies, you know my weakness....well, one of them anyway. |

I wanted to get a bunch of the writers on here together and do this assignment I had once. You get people first, then put a bunch of jobs that a normal town would have (electrician, cop, dope dealer, bookstore clerk) and take a job. Then you write a character for the job you pick. You give them a name and make up any back-story you want, and then just give the pedigree information out for anyone else participating. We used about a page long description when I did it, but as long as you know job, name, age, and stuff like that. Then, after that, write a short story. I found it to be unusually fun, and especially to see all of the different perspectives in this fictional town. Plus there's not a lot of short stories on the forum, so I thought it would be fun. It's just a matter of if enough people think it's a good idea. |

I think that'd be cool. I love writing fiction, I just don't do enough of it.

I have decided to go on an indeterminately long vacation from this place.
Feel free to mail me, as I am not deactivating. |

My vacation sucked.
I've chosen Leonard Cohen as my god. Never try to pick up girls in detox wards. |
I chose someone else as my god. I win.
Well... I have cookies and punch.
For the win, as Fear said. Hehe. |

Not even brooding today... but...
"Have I mentioned that I'm utterly insane?" - Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho) |
Cool, we can be insane together.
Hehe.
You like Genesis? I don't know if you read American Psycho... in which case that joke's just really confusing. I've got cookies and popscicles. |
I love Genesis. I haven't read American Psycho, but I've seen you mention it, so I meant to read it. I need to catch up on my reading, I've become a real lazy butt.
Sounds delish. I bought chocolate chip cookies today, they're not bad. I prefer chips, but every so often I like cookies. |

I love chips.
In American Psycho, about right in the middle of a horribly violent murder scene, the narrator launches into an eight page explanation of the history of the band Genesis. It's just so ridiculous that it's awesome. Do you drink pop? |
I do, my favorite is Sierra Mist or Sprite. Actually, my favorite is Pepsi, but I'm allergic, so I can't drink it.
I used to think Phil Collins was hot in a weird way when I was in high school. Eight pages? Must have been one hell of a history... |

I want to take flight, into this night,
To run into dreams of others troubles and fight. Take heed old poor fool of yesterdays reason behold this new old set freed treason. Lived as one who lost so much then be reborned into this such. Walk them down roads of past wrong, leading them all so strong. Walk as a child through eyes lived four decades past make their minds fall and betrayed knowing it can't ever last. Be who you so desire and light their imagined fire. If one can so destroy this sorrow of brainwashed fools using technics of shared wisdon, doomed tools. Whats a point , to see and be, if all were made possible through the lies told to thee. Enjoy destroy, explore and ecnor, for heartfelt pasions and more. Life will beat the seat, as when two set of eyes meet. Never a true tomorrow for any real sorrow, just this hollow... A night for flight a night to see into anothers light.. |

Dig it.
I so dig it. |
