Thinking about dating and maybe settling down again it maybe temporary insanity on my part or just tired of the same ole bar scene but a bit confused on how so many people seem to be looking for someone and just browsing some posts and comments from people everyone seems to have the same complaints about the dating scene. If everyone is complaining about the same things why is it so difficult to meet someone. People often arent truly sure of what they want. They sometimes would like to find someone special but are also a bit unsure about taking the risk. Its easier to just chat anonymously on a computer . |

I suppose partially true. You can't really be happy with others if you're not happy with yourself. And true that no one likes constant complainers.
However there's more to it than that. You can have a really positive outset at the beginning, but you just constantly have..bad luck..or no luck..so you over time you get cynical. Which has happened to me. |

You need to think, act and project a postive attitude and you will attract positive people. At least that is what people keep telling me, but I keep finding the ones with negative issues.
And the priest pic was scaring me also. Ahh if only Gregory House was a real man |

And the priest pic was scaring me also. Ahh if only Gregory House was a real man I second that. What's with the cross around the neck? Then you mention "the bar scene.." Are you a drinker and a priest? Hmmmmm.... Just wondering. |

Yes, well the problem is at this point I sort of feel projecting the positive attitude feels phony and forced. And I realize the dilemna of dating is easier with the positive attitude. Well..its easier for some people. Personally I would not mind dating someone with negative issues as long as she was willing to overcome them (depending on what issues they were). It's easier to accomplish something with help than on your own. |

If everyone is complaining about the same things why is it so difficult to meet someone. I have never understood the phrase "settling down" and you mention "settling down again.." This indicates that you have been married Or "settled down?" once before. Well I guess you weren't TOO settled. Then you mention the "same ol bar scene.." Is that where you think you will meet the woman of your dreams? In a bar? Well if you like to drink and you want a woman who drinks... maybe.. It is not difficult to meet someone, once you know what kind of person you are looking for. Want to meet a career woman? Try attending career training seminars or job fairs. Want to meet an artist? Try going to craft fairs and the like. Go where the women are. You could meet them at the PTA, the super market, shopping malls, health gyms, yoga and spin classes, ball games etc. A woman wants a many who has a life, not a man who trolls bars looking to score. |

A girlfriend of mine has dated a beautiful stud -- an Italian stalian. But, every now and then, she's cheeted on him with comparatively "regular" guys! (and her boyfrind discovered that...)
So, he asked her: I don't understand, I'm so good-looking, so well off, you know I love you and you seem to love me too... Then I don't understand: WHY DO YOU CHEET ON ME WITH COMPLETE JERKS? ? ?
To which my girlfriend responded: Oh honey, when one eats a sweet cherry pie each and every day, once in a while, one gets cravings for a simple toast!!!
