What would you have done differently in regards to your education if you could?

I would have completed my college education and been a History major instead of an English major.

I would have saved all the money I spent on paying back Student Loans for a degree nobody will hire me for...

I would have stayed in college at 16 until I had my degree at 21.

I assume you mean knowing what I know now. In that case, I probably would have gone all the way through high school. As for higher education, I don't think so. Having dyslexia I don't think I'd have been able to keep up with the classes at that time. Today there are programs that can be taken advantage of.

I actually was dong better than most of me friends with degrees for a long time. I owned my own business that I saved for and opened without any help from anyone an was making over 100K for about ten years back in the 90s. So, dropping out didn't really hurt me.

I hear that!
By the time I was in the ninth grade, I had done twelve years. Is that algebra?laugh

I too had a thriving business. Locksmithing. Some things I could grasp. The metric conversion, I battled with for two weeks and wound up dropping the pre-req. for nursing class.

I would not have listened to my grandmother's advice and just gone ahead and studied psychology instead of pre med.

Well, I would have went in law and became a lawyer, and to be honest, I am happy that I never did. I spent 14 years working as a Chemical Operator/R&D Technician and I made a good life while I did that. But now, I am starting over, going into something completely different, and I am happy about that. So, I really don't feel I would have done anything different.

I would have quit after third grade. I didn't learn anything in grades 4-12 that is of any practical use today. I would have been better off simply studying on my own.

I would've gone to work and gotten some experience first, then do my music studies at a community college with no loans. College debt sucks!

Nothing really, I studied all of the things that interested me on my own time and didn't have the patience for school to catch up with me so I dropped out. Plan on attending college for journalism and psychology in the future, hopefully college moves a little quicker than high school or I could get bored with it as well.

I wish I had either finished my teaching certificate or gotten a degree in counseling instead of the useless ones I have now.

the difference is that you are paying for college with your own money (or your own financial aid) so that there is more incentive to get the most out of it

college classes sometimes do get pretty boring, but being that its your own money it makes you more inclined to try and stay awake

 That and you get to choose what courses you take so it's a better chance of choosing something that actually interests you instead of a lot bs you don't care about.

The only reason I would have pursued a degree is for economic value of it. The lack of it is holding up my career goals and options at this point. Other than that I see no value in it.

I think I want to study a little bit more classical history

Greek, Alexandrian, Byzantine, and Arab from around 2000 BC to 1000 AD

I might take some of those classes
