Why would you choose to use a picture of yourself that was taken 5, 10, maybe 15 years ago knowing darn well that you dont look like that any more?

Its kind of like false advertising isnt it?

I drove to Salt Lake City for a date once and he was 14 years older than he was portraying himself...weird.

Ohhhh I know what ya mean actually I would not post my pictures on my profile that were taking 10 years ago. Shehehe time has caught up with me and to let someone think that is what I look like now well just not kewl.

I know what your saying I see it all the time. And it makes me wonder do they really just like to punish themselves for if they meet someone with those pretenses it never turns out good.

I would rather show what I look like and give them the chance to pass me up from the beginning. Not into making myself look like a fool nor any unnecessary hurt.noway

Years ago I used to hang out in chat rooms and this guy showed me a pic of a "hot guy." After about an hour or so of chat, he admits the pic isn't him and then shows his real pic. About 20 years older and scarier-looking with a bunch of gray hair wearing a kerchief of the Confederate flag, turned out the first pic was his brother, if he even knew the guy at all. His excuse was, "if you knew what I looked like you wouldn't talk to me." Um, yeah, but that's my choice. I've never understood people who set out to mislead others, if you get rejected 'cause of how you look, get over it, but lying is just stupid.

The only way I could understand that...is if after you saw the real pic, you had already feel in love with his personality.

But thats rare..and I still think its stupid. Its a from of lieng. And one lie leads to another.

Eh, I'd be afraid of someone who claimed they had fallen in love in less than two hours. Besides, I don't forgive easily, and that lie was dumb.laugh

Oh I know, but there are those that do claim to fall in love that quick. And I forgive...after I've gotten revenge.
