Pat robinson is very old and talks on his TV show nearly every day.Old people who talk alot are going to say things that makes little or no sense.

On the other hand I believe that what Pat said had some truth in it.I know it is not Gods will to kill anyone and would prefer people to do what he says and live.If the majority of the population of a city or country is ignoring Gods laws and living life like a bunch of drunken, whore mongers, then I firmly believe God will take his protection from that city and let Satan have his way with them which of course leads to death and destruction. It was written in the book of Job how God did this very thing.I also believe God did the same thing with new Orleans.New orleans was a city full of drunken idiots, having sex with anyone who came along, and was for many years(and probably still is)full of crime and murder.

The more these cities take God out of them the more I expect their self destruction.Cities such as...

San Francisco
Tijuana and Mexico city
Seattle
Boston

I am sorry but rofl

I cannot believe people still believe this crap.slaphead whoa surprised shocked spock noway huh laugh

Oh and any excuse will do for people who are not mentally well I guess in the case of Robinson.slaphead

See that's the problem with the First Amendment. Bat **** crazy still get to tell you their thoughts.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I think the first and second amendments are the most important amendments we have . but i guess those people who are above it all and illiberal don't feel like equal right are important are they ?

Who is saying they don't feel that equal rights are important? People like Pat Robertson are free to say what they want. We're free to think they're completely crazy.
READ THE QUOTE UP ABOVE US and you well see where it came from .

Ok. So, that was one person. How did that turn into liberals not thinking equal rights were important?

Yea, how does that happen????huh

I think it was Papa Legba and the other Voodoun deities who are pissed off at the churches and all of missionaries in the country on their high horses running around.

If the Haitian people truly did turn to Voodoo, then they aren't doing a very good job if they're allowing the Christians to run around.

'thomas',

You're comments are no different than those of your 'uncle Pat'; full of non-sense!!!

'... I believe that what Pat said had some truth in it...'

You opened by stating: '...Old people who talk alot are going to say things that makes little or no sense...'. How can there be some truth in something that makes little or no sense.

'... I also believe God did the same thing with new Orleans. New orleans was a city full of drunken idiots, having sex with anyone who came along, and was for many years(and probably still is)full of crime and murder...'

Short of the old 'pact with Satan' thing, this is exactly the same non-sense as Pat R's comments.

'... The more these cities take God out of them the more I expect their self destruction.Cities such as... San Francisco, Tijuana, Mexico city, Seattle and Boston...'

And of course, if you're going to push non-sense, why not push it all out!!! Expecting the self destruction of some of your compatriots, just because of YOUR OWN JUDGMENT of their 'way of life', is unmistakably full fledge delusion. This represents a judgment of others with a vicious twist.

I seriously think that Pat Robertson and all his 'believe alikes', should seriously consider that they are giving christians a very bad rap.

Such a bad rap in fact, that you may be effectively convincing the rest of us, that it not so much a pact with the devil that is damning, but the 'kind of pact' you people are making with your falsely interpreted 'god'. A god whom can't possibly be the christian god we all know.

The angry and divisive mission your comments keep spreading 'thomas', going as far as wishing the destruction of YOUR OWN NEIGHBORS, is squarely worrisome. It makes no sense, and it is positively not christian!

We all have 'right of faith' 'thomas'. But this implies that yourat personal right of faith, goes as far as the equal right of faith of your neighbor dear 'thomas'.
It is clear that this simple and powerful christian principle escapes you totally!!!

As another post said, I think some things are just natural disasters. As to why these things have happened in Haiti, noone knows but God. I think Pat is using very poor judgment speaking out in such a way as if he is CERTAIN of Gods reasons.

I see two sides of the christian coin here myself based on my belief that God chastises(disciplines) his children. We have trials (tests of faith not brought on by us) and we have consequences (reactions to things we have done). Pat believes Haiti is suffering a consequence, I could just as easily believe they are going through a trial,,,did you see how many people there are praying and thanking the Lord for their lives?

I know this is taking things into the religious realm and out of current events.... but I think that you are on a slipery slope, when you are deeming anything to be God's action! And personally, I feel that Pat is on an even bigger slippery slope to be utilizing natural disasters as a religious agenda. It's one thing to organize relief and help others in the name of God. But it's another thing to deem that a horrific natural disaster is the wrath of God due to his belief that they made a pact with the devil!!!! I know Pat is old... but was he really there to witness this being done?

Considering that noone knows what would be god wishes or determination if he existed.

People are actually stating their personal desires for other humans to suffer.

Which is sick.

I don't care if they want to call it trials or punishment it is still a personal desire for other humans to suffer.

Sick Sick Sick.

Well that was a nice little pep talk but I know what I know from reading the bible.God does not bless or protect sinful countries who do not believe in him.You will not find a single bible verse where God or Jesus praises, rewards,or blesses people who do not believe in God or worship another God.Your make believe Christian world where God looks upon everyone equally and treats everyone equally is just that.Do I wish that my un-Christian non believers end up dying a horrrible death? Not at all.I really don't care what they do as long as they are not affecting my religious beliefs. But I know that the bible has always been right in it's predections and always will be.I know that God will judge countries and will destroy them as it is written in the bible.

Matthew 10:34
“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

"God is a just judge, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If He does not turn back, He will sharpen His sword; He bends His bow and makes it ready. He also prepares for Himself instruments of death; He makes His arrows into fiery shafts." (Psalm 7:11)

"For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: "A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire." (2 Peter 2:20)

1Samuel
12:14,15 If you fear the Lord and serve and obey him and do not rebel against his commands, and if both you and the king who reigns over you follow the Lord your God--good! But if you do not obey the Lord, and if you rebel against his commands, his hand will be against you, as it was against your fathers.

Psalms

52:5-7 Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin: He will snatch you up and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at him, saying, "Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!"

"For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord." And again, "The Lord will judge His people." It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." (Hebrews 10:26-31)

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' (Matthew 7:21)

"Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "We adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches ... And the evil spirit answered and said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?"
Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded." (Acts 19:13-16)

What's really ironic is that one time Pat predicted a natural disaster was going to wipe out Orlando, Fla. Something to do with Disney giving benefits to gay couples or hosting some sort of gay convention.

Shortly thereafter, a hurricane went up the East Coast and hit Virginia Beach and knocked out Pat's Christian Broadcasting Network transmitters.

Coincidence? :)
