"Nobody's happy -- the talent isn't happy, the advertisers aren't happy and the audience isn't happy," said Mediaweek's Marc Berman of NBC's shakeup. The network's "prime time has been down for several years, but to take five hours of your schedule and commit to something that's unproven is a suicide mission." The other issue wasn't just the scheduling, Berman said, but also that "The Jay Leno Show" hasn't been a good show. "It didn't seem funny, fresh or unique -- it was stale from the get-go," he said. "I've honestly never seen anything this bad in the history of television." So. Does Jay retire altogether? Does he pack up the band and go over to FOX late-night? Does he take this crazy 30 minute time slot? What is the deal with NBC? Why do they keep digging a deep hole with horrible tv scripts and lousy rating shows? |

I didn't like the format my self . the set was pretty stupid to leno and his regulars were still good . I'm sorry he messed up but I'm glad hes not blaming the janitors though .

They should drop/replace Conan with something/somebody else!
To put Conan in a time slot was the one of the biggest mistakes they have made. The man's comedy is too over the top, that it becomes annoying/stupid and ridiculous, makes me wonder WTF...were they thinking! This is just my opinion!

I agree, can't stand conan. ego ego ego. Always liked Leno, and Ross just kills me!

They should drop/replace Conan with something/somebody else! To put Conan in a time slot was the one of the biggest mistakes they have made. The man's comedy is too over the top, that it becomes annoying/stupid and ridiculous, makes me wonder WTF...were they thinking! This is just my opinion!

It makes sense, we're the viewing public! It's apparent that they screwed up the last time with pulling Conan into Jay's place to start with. JMO...

Not only did they replace Jay with Conan...they forced Jay out to do it. Conan has never been, and never will be, a guy who's humor appeals to Middle America. There is such a thing as "Too Silly", and Conan carries it to a point, where it is actually annoying! JMO... I'm sorry some of you don't see it that way...but I just don't get his type of idiotic humor! Johnny Carson was the best there was...then Leno took over...didn't care for that in the beginning...but he proved to be OK...but Conan? Please give me a break...makes me wonder just how low NBC is willing to go. Good thing we/I have a channel selector, to watch something else! JMO

NBC has been horrible for the last few seasons. Their prime time is horrible and apparently it's carrying over to the midnight hour. Whomever is running things, needs to rethink his lineup across the board. SNL isn't even funny anymore.
