There is nothing wrong with due process. It seems both sides are quite committed to keeping this "War on Terror" going indefinitely though.

Kinda reminds me of the "War on Crime" and the "War on Drugs". Only one way to win, and that's a route none of us want to travel, no matter how much we support the people in charge.

It isn't going to get better. In my opinion, it's going to turn into a nasty little game of tit for tat..

People are only going to take so much before its Dodge City circa 1885.

wouldn't we go by the Geneva Convention instead of our constitution in these cases?

No because we are not at war.
Remember it's an "overseas contingancy plan" not a war on dare I say it TERROR.
Remember these are not acts of terror they are man caused disasters or what ever the hell they are calling it now. So we have to treat these people who want to MURDER like descent law abiding citizens and eventhough they arent AMERICANS they are givin all the rights of AMERICANS.

I guess that makes sense. But I would think the Geneva Convention would apply better than the Constitutions. The Constitution applies only to Americans, correct?

Well I would like to think so.
It does start with

We the people of The United States.

But I'm not sure how much those words mean to some now days.

How about from now on when you are caught shooting at soldiers in the battlefield you get a nice on the spot exectution?Obama and his do nothing policies are a joke. The terrorist are laughing at us right now.I felt safe under Bush.I don't under Obama.Obama needs to start painting his nails and wear a dress because he has no balls.

In case you haven't figured it out yet the United states Government does not sell oil.The Government doesn't own gas stations. You really think we went there so we could spend a trillion dollars to fight a war and then to give all the oil to private companies like Exxon and Shell who even if they gave us all their profits would take at least 20 years to break even?Give me a break! We get the majority of our oil from Canada and if it wasn't for the tree hugging, pot smoking, liberals we could drill all over Canada and Alaska and probably never have to import oil.

slaphead

More skewered logic by Obama today....Obama believes Guantanamo is the reason why al Qeda recruits. And yet his predator attacks, many times, kill people locally that may be only thinking about or training to participate in an attack. Often times, there is collateral civilian deaths in these predator attacks as well. Seems to me the that this would be the real reason why Al Qeda can easily recruit.

Guantanamo should be kept open.....it makes no logical sense at all to give Guantanamo terroist a trial in the US when we give others outside the US that haven't yet committed a crime against the US, predator strikes.
