I think the next time a man asks "Would you like to out sometime?", my answer will be "I'll answer that question sometime". Is he actually wanting a date? Is he just feeling the situation out to see what my response will be? Isn't "sometime" a little too vague? Isn't this type a question meant as an icebreaker?..... That's what I'M trying to figure out. It's confusing when I'm asked this and then there is no follow through on the guy's part. After all, he was the one that suggested it. I would think if that questions was asked and the answer was yes then it would be followed by "Would you like to have dinner next Friday around 7:00" or whatever. I haven't dated in over 20 years so you might not want to listen to anything I say... I think it just depends on the kind of guy it is. It could go that way, or it could be the guy is shy or indecisive and is waiting for the woman to decide what to do. |

It's just a simple question! Why does it have to turn into the inquisition of dating? Just be happy someone wants to date you. No wonder men are so confused by women. I feel for you guys. I'd be gay if I was a man. |

I think the answer should be, “Sure; sometime in the next life.” If he mispronounced his invitation, he should correct his phrase right now. If he is not sure and just testing waters, let him go to hell to make his mind first. He always has time to correct this error of his, unless you want to make the first step. |
