Frosty The Snowman

Stark bitter cold
windblown emptiness
chilly smile, a child's facade
a carrot that never breathed
branching arms never to hold
the warmth of summer

every winter he watches
from blackened eyes of stone
abuse from another life
seasonal thoughts of Remembrance
haunting echoes from long ago
his suit made from frozen tears

Night has fallen
and as the world sleeps
he dreams of a heart
a compassionate embrace
sadly he weeps
for the sun has shown......

We think we are helping him, wrapping a scarf around his head. We really know nothing about his culture. Trying to make him into our fit.

Happy holidays, Huck.

This is great!
Seriously. I love making snowmen and now you've made me feel guilty. THAT is good writing.

You have bred life into this snowman, you have given him a heart and emotions, such great imagery.
