I've been talking with someone for a very brief time. I find him to be
very charming. BUT he lives....surprisingly states away from me. How
much distance...is too far for meeting someone?

Another planet might be too far?

It really depends. If it has been very brief, give it some time. Then
you will know for sure if it is too far.

So, Puffins, how far is it???!!!

yep hangedman let him be the gentleman and go first laugh

Then after the first time it can be mutual work. Then they can take
turns on who goes where

Snuggles

I was thinking the same thing, meeting 1/2 way. That way we will be on
neutral ground, if you know what I mean

Puff -- I was talking to a girl from New York last year (on another
site), I think she was something like 550 miles away. After talking for
about 4 months, she decided we should meet, and she drove out here. It
was a complete disaster, but the distance had nothing to do with that.

I see distance as one of a number (sometimes a HUGE number) of factors
that have to be considered in these situations. But certainly not the
ONLY factor. If the other person is really "the right one," then a
little thing like distance can certainly be dealt with!

Just be REALLY careful....some people are not who they present
themselves to be!

agree with Lisa. You do have to think about one thing though...if this
were to fly, who would move??

Lex.....

Thank you, this is in the development stage, I think you would call
it....

Auburn...

I have a great job here in NY...that will have to be determined if and
when it develops into that

Puffins, I agree with Lex, I would take it slowly and see what happens.
A halfway meeting spot is a great idea, that way you could both meet and
see if you hit off in RL without the added pressure of having to show
him around your town or vice versa.

Good luck, I hope things work for you. :)
