how's the weather there? lousy I had heard....through the grapevine

a few thunderstorms in my area today

Today it was 88 and sunny, then a short thunderstorm an then
sunny again, it's not much different than where you are.

You need to trust your instincts, I hope you have done more than just
emailed, like talked on the phone and such. If I was going that far away
from home to meet a stranger I would get some info to give my loved
ones, you never know.
But that's just one persons opinion.

but distance of a few hundred miles should be no big deal - should be
able to fly there and back easy - try for discount airline tix, offer to
split the cost with him of air and hotel, maybe you both have a place
you would love to go to for a day trip on neutral ground, WashDC?
Boston? etc...know anyone with a plane? someplace where you could
combine the trip with a visit to another friend and stay at their place?
just some ideas that come to mind....

I flew with a friend to VT one time to meet friends for a day hike in
the beautiful fall foliage.
