on the east coast you always have an italian dish with the ham or turkey... My boys won't accept a holiday meal without it.. I made stuffed shells for Thanksgiving.. Wanted to make manicotti for Christmas but they requested lasagne... ohwell

Joel for a second there you had me thinking I was losing it and forgot how to spell it.. laugh slaphead

Be the usual traditional southern dishes here. Paula has no fear of me but definitely enough to make you think you swallered your tounge and be fat and sassy by the end of the day.

I've never done traditional dinners for the holidays either..just always been me and the boys so we just do whatever. The lasagna is standard for thanksgiving, the other Italian dishes, even chicken parmesan.

You must make a good lasagna Joy if people ask you to do it...

What do ya'll have cooking for tomorrow and Christmas day?
Anything exciting, new and different...

I have a giant crock pot full of potato's, vegies and a
roast, cooking on low through the night.
A chicken fettuccine ready to go into the oven tomorrow.
And a big ole vegetable stir fry ready to throw into
the wok on Christmas day.

Pies and vanilla ice cream for treats.

I'm coming over

I miss going to my grandmas for a nice Italian Christmas Eve dinner. We had antipasto, baccala, calamari, shrimp, clams, crab, whitefish, mussels, and lots more good food. The desert trays were awesome too. And the whole family was together, eating, luaghing, just having a great time.
