MY IE keeps freezing up today ... like to insantity.

When I open photobucket, or other graphic sites, IE freezes and I have to close my browser.

What do I need to tweek? This just started today -- but every time I open certain sites.

I know ... *sigh* everyone suggests Mozilla. I tried it a long time ago and hated it.

Well, I defrag'ed and I restarted and the problem is solved (so far). I got other feedback on "ccleaner" and spybot.

I'm good now though, and I will deal with it when I am not working on stuff.

You can also try:

Opera, Google Chrome, Netscape Navigator, Safari, those are some of the major browsers off the top of my head.

Try firefox again. The more you use it, the more you'll get used to it and realize it's better.

-- Hi -- I use IE-8 version/New. Had some problems at first maybe mised a file. Windows update found the issue/repaired-no issue sense. I here many say Mozilla is good with issues also. CCleaner.com is great/No adware.Analyze-first/Run-cleaner. The registry gets loaded with junk also/Slows down your O.S. I personally dont care for adware-they also will cause problems over time. A good antivirus is a must. Happy New-Year to all Mingle2. 2010 - Wow! The future is ours ...

Also, do this if it's a recurring problem. (*and if you don't get CCleaner)

Upper right hand corner click -- Tools --- then click ---Internet options---

Then at the "temporary files" click "delete",

now if you don't want to delete passwords your browser saved then don't check mark it. Same with other stuff. Then click "delete". It will take a a few seconds or up to a minute to delete all the saved temp files you don't need.

Do this like once a month.

Or use CCleaner. flowerforyou

FireFox is something that takes a bit to get used to. It's definitely not a good browser for someone who is gonna look at it for a few minutes, make a couple of clicks and then determine that they hate it.

FF is very much superior to IE on all counts.

It's faster, more secure, and MUCH more stable.
