The scriptures show that there are different levels of sin. In the new
testiment, i wish i could remember where, Jesus finished a statement
with "greater is his sin"

The most important thing pkh is that you accept him and love him for who
he is, which you have done. That is most admirable. Like a few have said
God made him, its not his choice it just is.flowerforyou

and as far as Gays believing in God, well yeah, so, so doesn't Satan but
he's not going to heaven, and i'm not saying someone is going to hell
for being gay, but NO WHERE in God's word does he condone the gay life
style. If you look in the bible where God states to a prophet about
delivering a message to a race before destroying them, almost every time
his first greivance is sexual immorality and unnatural sex.

Being gay is not a choice for most of all gay people!! Most gay boys
showed their sexuality when very young! Very young. It is that kind of
thinking that causes hate. There is scientific proof that there is a
genetic makeup for this biological anomaly.

Yes, i've considered it. But don't blame it on God!!! as many ADD kids
and all the other problems with concern to the chemicals that we humans
take in now, it's easy to figure that these things could have
substantial affects.

And by the way, your wrong, I believe this and I don't hate anyone who
is gay.

There have always been gays, think of Oscar Wilde and further back.
On which chemicals do you want to blame that?
It was just that they couldn't come out of their closets because of
close minded people. Most of them had to live a very unhappy life.

Like i said many make the choice, so shoot me all you tolerant liberals.
Because i'm so intolerant to stand up for scripture.

Sexual immorality:
There are definite biblical restrictions on sexual acts which are
broader called sexual immorality (Greek "porneia"). These are:
Sex during women's menstruation. Lack of hygiene for nomads in the
desert (lack of clean water) could lead to dangerous infections
-"unclean" in ENGLISH refers to filth/dirt/etc., but in Hebrew, it
refers, as validly, to RITUAL impurity it was a "sin" (spiritual
impurity) to do such.

Sexual Idolatry as in using the temple prostitutes for pagan fertility
goddess worship. Or, doing the same with the golden calf and having sex
to praise it as a god when Moses came down. Porneia as used in I Cor
6-9, falsely translated in some bibles as fornication was actually the
practice of the prostitutes in the Temples of Corinth selling their
services as a part of pagan fertility goddess worship which was what
Paul was warning against. Not even specifically about prostitution but
used as a pagan sexual goddess worship.

Corinth was one of the sex capitals of the world. Corinth was even a
Metaphor for Fertility. "Corinthian girl" meant prostitute, "to play the
Corinthian" meant to visit a prostitution house.
The major deites at the time was Aphrodite, goddess of fertility, and
Cybele, the Mother Goddess. The worshippers of Aphrodite worked as
prostitutes in the temples.... these temples held over one thousand
prostitutes. The purpose of these prostitutes was to earn money for the
temple and to worship Aphrodite (they used sex as worship). So over
1,000 prostitutes were cultic, and that's just from the worshippers of
Aphrodite

Dederasty - one of the worst of all sexual sins that took various forms:
The practice of pederasty falls into three distinct styles. First is the
relationship between an older man and a young boy. Second is the
practice of slave prostitutes. Third is that of the effeminate "call
boy" or male prostitute. Other practices included a heterosexual male
degrading another heterosexual male by anal intercourse after capturing
them in battle. Another practice was heterosexual's using anal
intercourse to drive out other heterosexual strangers they didn't like
such as the case of the Sodom story. It had absolutely nothing to do
with homosexuality which is simply being as God designed some people to
be.

Beyond these there is no biblical basis for any other definition of
porneia, or sexual immorality.

Christ taught in the Sermon on the Mount that the only law is the law of
love. He demonstrated this by reversing four of the OT laws which
conflicted with loving people. Therefore anything that was hurtful, not
by mutual consent etc. would be immoral for a Christian, but obviously
not loving sexuality regardless of marital status or natural sexual
orientation.

I agree, so continue to love him brother, also have you ever heard of
"focus on the family?" You must have, they have over 80 ministeries
within that organization, one of them deals with helping homosexuals
turn from that life style with real love and real support. Check it out,
you obviously are deeply concerned about this.

Well Christ also taught not to be luke-warm or conform to the world.

scttrbrain,

"There is scientific proof that there is a genetic makeup for this
biological anomaly."

So do you believe homosexuality to be abnormal? It is a mental illness?

Science beleives that genes can cause a propensity to homosexuality, but
the deciding factors are environment and upbringing. There are many
cases where one identical twin is homosexual and the other is straight.
If it was purely genetic, this would not be the case.

Oh yeah,adj4u, that's old testament and old covenant, Jesus told us to
bless the person who persecutes you.

Yeah bored, me too!! except he's wrong about fornication. the definition
he gives is partial, there's actually much more to the word fornication
than sex.

You shouldn't leave the church. You said and feel correctly about
yourrelative, being gay IS a choice. Saying that God made a person that
wayis totally contradictory to his word. He never contradicts himself.
