The Insurance Companies didn't spend all that lobbying money to save the tax-payers squat!

By not supporting Health Care reform you basically just aided your enemy!

By passing this bill the dems will have aided the insurers!!!

The real outrage is the cost of insurance and the poor return we get for our buck ask anyone how much their insurance premiums have gone up and how they all groan and moan as their paycheck is eaten away........... my god how can anyone be happy with what lieberman and the republicans have done. How can any working person be happy with the outcome? Thefat cat insureres will continue to get richer and the rest of us poorer and less healthy.

I am starting to think that Lieberman is a demon.

The fact that so many people believe government can do anything well aside from wasting money boggles the mind.

The government is made up of humans, it stands to reason they will have many strengths AND weaknesses.

Give me one example of anything government does better than the private sector.

I Cant say as a whole that I can prove either one does better than the other. I do have experience working in the private sector though and compared to those in my family who work in government,,Id say the government provides better benefits and more stability for their employees.

I'd take a county cops protection over a private security guard any day!

Yes Volunteers.
They are still getting gov subsidies and charge at least twice what the gov now pays without spending regulations. Abuse is common and you're still taxed for their services, so yeah I'd take gov fire depts.

God help us if all we had were private armies like Blackwater.

Medical Care,
Private Insurance companies raise the premiums at will. Coverage is limited.
Their only real concerns are profits!

Insuring that the money you have deposited in a bank doesn't get gambled away by Wall St.

The only reason there weren't catastrophic runs on banks over the last two years is because people know that the Federally insured money they have in private banks, like the country's currency, is being backed by the full faith and credit of the Government of the United States of America.
