I was stationed near VA. It's a really cool area. most of my friends just move there recently.

I liked it there while it lasted, but I don't mind Illinois that much. I can hardly wait to get out of the country again though. I should be studying abroad this summer. should be fun.

I think it's a mental playing field... ya both gotta be tuned into that same mental station or forget it. Physical age shouldn't matter... it's about finding and maintaining a connection after all, right?

I'm all for it! I guess it's because physically and emotionally I act so much younger than I am. Age does not matter to me; but it obviously DOES matter to anyone that is involved in such a relationship and acts in a "superior" fashion. Keep the faith... you'll find the right person!

Age gap is perception.
Most of my friends are my age or older (like old enough to be my parent). I relate better to older people because I was one of those kids who had to "grow up way too fast". I didn't have time to goof off or play around. It isn't that I take a serious, boring tone to life, but lots of younger people don't know the meaning of "time and place for everything".

To Respond to Red:
I've been outside of Chicago... lived in Madison, WI for 3 months and HATED it. Moved back here. I wouldn't do well in a small town for any long period of time... although I love small towns for vacationing purposes. I have travelled very little though. Colorado has my heart as my most favorite place on Earth. Other than that, I would LOVE to travel... as an artist, I find new and different scenery to be relaxing and inspirational. My kids keep me tied to Illinois, because they have relationships with my family (obviously). Otherwise, I think I might consider a side career as a flight attendant or something, just to see different places.

age is just a number...i've dated men from 23 to 60...age has nothing at all to do with the person, its what the person is like that interests me.

Hello everyone...been forever since I've come to JSH. My two cents for what it's worth.... I have had three relationships. 1. High school sweetheart and was with him for 21 years, he was three years older. We had a lot of good years together, but, tragically grew apart. 2. A man 16 years younger that claimed to be head over heels in love. I tried to talk him out of it but eventually gave in. This ended terribly because he just wasn't mature enough. 3. A man 8 years younger, who treated be beautifully in the beginning years (8 years together) but now wants a child and I can't give him that. (There are other problems too.
In my youth, I was attracted to older men. Now, I find myself attracted to men younger than myself. i don't have the answers. I think that what's most important is that you truly respect, trust and love each other and be objective. always try to ynerstand the other person's perspective. Hope all of you find true love, no matter your age or anything else for that matter.
