Topic: opening up and being honest on a date.. | |

Opening up on a date? Only if I am getting friggen bombed. Until the alcohol kicks in, I am smart enough to keep my fool mouth shut.

By the time the date finally comes around they pretty much knows what makes me tick. They are probably more aware of any baggage I have than I am.
So I guess right from teh start, I am open and honest upfront and direct when I talk with someone they know what how and they can always ask. |

After sex is usually a good time Yep, you've already won the hand, so no worries telling them what you had in your hand. If they run away, hey, at least it was fun. |

Another dating rule I wish would apply ,,,,start out with all the things that ARENT so great about us,,so that person doesnt waste time or money on something that is not gonna work,,,and if they get through it and still have interest,,,u have GREAT chances of at least a pretty kewl friendship

It depends on the person really, but I think if it is your first time really talking with that person, it can wait. However, if it were me, I would want to know relatively soon, especially if it were something big.
meh. Believe me when I say I speak from experience. I dated a guy with...lets say...more than just excess baggage. *groans* He told me most of it, and believe me they were shockers...but he left out something big, and I found out from someone else. needless to say, our relationship ended after that. |

u have to open up if u know that there will be many more dates with that person cuz if ur not honest or open then in the future when simple things com up u will look like a lier

Usually you have quite a few chats with each other before a date happens.
I just let the conversation flow. Most of the time baggage topics, are talked about a bit , just not in detail. And If they do...RUN. Because no one wants to live in someones past. And thats sort of a true sign they are not ready to date or have a relationship. If all they focus on is their past. |

I've been know to go out with someone on the spur of the moment. I don't bare all-I'm looking at it more like meeting someone that could be interesting or a friend. Casual dates are just that.
If we have been talking for quite awhile, then that's a different story. |

Depending on what the baggage is, I always throw it out there first thing. If he can accept things an it does not bother him then shot! This guy just might be worth it!

Or do you lay your cards out on the table...and let fate take its course?? Have fun with this one everyone Me?? Nope... I deal with my own baggage, and drop it off as sson as it's delt with... why do you feel the need to dump your baggage on someone else?, they are YOUR bags... why carry your baggage everywhere you go?? Why not drop your baggage??? - improve yourself and move on???? are you ready to date if you are carrying nso much un-delt with baggafe????? you attach yourself after a few dates?????? why not try having fun with your date... *sigh* $.02 |
