| Topic: Need help with Linux Ubuntu and Wii | |

Anyone out their successfully get the Wii mote to work with your Linux machine? I have attempted this a few times now, and i must be missing something. I can install the packages for the Wii-Mote and i can see the Wii-Mote but i cannot use it as a pointing device to play games with. I know this is possible but i am uncertain what i am missing...
I have the Bluetooth adapter, and also have the packages compiled correctly, however do i need the sensor bar? or is their a way i can make a make-shift one to use? Any help would be great... Thanks.. |

Interesting...
I don't see how it would work without the sensor bar.... is the bluetooth adapter attached to the Wii controler? |

Unfortunately I do not play much video games I play real sports or go out from time to time. I do not know the wii system well enough to help you.

Anyway, I've never done linux on a wii, but I have done it on xbox along with a friend (though I have no idea why he did it). Are you saying that you can use the wiimote as the pointing device in ubuntu? because that would be awesome. |
