And that is supposed to be a good thing? IDK frankly I don't get it what is the point of celebrating that this year is over? All it means is that all the b/s you had to do this year just starts all over again.

nope
love it carolers, christmas parades, all the lights strung up on main street, salvation army santas with kettle ringing bells, christmas songs, driving through the residential neighborhood to look at christmas lights, buying cool presents for people I love, the food and most especially the quiet reverence and humble awareness that we celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus |

I ready for a great new year.

Hate it? Not at all. I've been busier than ever lately spending time with friends, family and meeting new people. I'd say it's a pretty good time of year.

I am curious, who else here HATES this time of year? Personally I can't stand the whole Christmas/New Years crap. What are your opinions? This is the bestest time of year! I can't stand the heat during the rest of the year, and the cool-off lets me work longer. |

I agree valentines day stinks when your single.
New years I like and dislike . Like means new goals to set, dislike because it is a couples holiday and I'm single. |

New Years is just a couples holiday? Really? I've never had a problem with it when I haven't been dating someone.

Well, we make our own happiness or misery to a large extent. You look pretty young to be a curmudgeon...but I'm sure you can find a match that feels as you do. Good luck!

I LOVE XMAS!!! I even am having fun buying stuff for Angel and her daughter! But yes, 2 years ago when I was single and lived alone, I went to work on xmas, got double-time and a half, plus I lived alone....soooo. what was I to do? I can see the OPS point, which is why I hope each and everyone of you finds happiness!

It is the time of year to reflect upon the past year not to see it with regrets but to see what we need to do to change things in the coming year.
It is sad that one so young that has done and seen what you have and still has so much ahead within your life. Has so much hate inside during this time of year. At times we need to sit and reflect until we can find that peace within hate only grows to cloud the good we could see...... |

Well, we make our own happiness or misery to a large extent. You look pretty young to be a curmudgeon...but I'm sure you can find a match that feels as you do. Good luck! People often like to use being single as a reason to be unhappy. These kind of people are not going to automatically be happy with the world if they are not single. They may think that's the answer to everything, but of course it isn't. |
