Lots of people say they are looking for someone with brains and someone who is "smart". But, I wonder if many of us, myself included, aren't a little intimidated by someone who is much smarter than we are.

How do you feel about someone who is much smarter than you?

As long as she gives good head, I don't care. laugh laugh

My girlfriend is very intelligent, thats part of the attraction, she kicks my butt so bad in Scrabble it is embarrassing. But by hanging with a smarter crowd, you can always learn something yourself.
She is very secure and never flaunts it.

I tend to like Smart men and feel like I can hold my own with most. I feel safe with someone who has enough intelligence to see the correlation between the choices they make and how their life goes.

If they make me feel like it is always a competion or that it is just too much effort to detach from all the things they are trying to do to be with me then I loose interest.

I believe some smart people develope a superior attitude to protect themseves from being rejected by performing ahead of their peers and being ignored as even a young child. It is sad that children do get set aside when they catch on to the task at hand but that is pretty much the case in groups.

I know it seems strange to some folks that have relative success in their lives but it does take a different skill set to survie at poverty level than it does middle class or say "upper" class.

Some people talk as if they consult a thesaurus every 5 minutes. Some "smart" people are actually not smart at all. They're just pretentious and insecure.

It's usually very easy to pick out those who are using big words in order to sound smarter.

I am attracted to intelligence. If I am smarter than my man I usually leave and end the relationship. Well I usually leave and end every relationship so I guess I have yet to find the intelligent man. I like to have discussions and toss around different thoughts about different topics and if a man can't hold his own view then whats the point. Well, I am seeing someone...but the jury is still out on this one!

Smart is sexy...as long as they aren't also patronizing and/or condescending! That turns even the most brainy person into a fool!

Yeah, chicks will tell you they want an intelligent guy, but then they want him to drive a Ferrari too, be the quarterback to an NHL major league team, and be a Kennedy through-and-through.

I like to have concussions and toss around different cookies, too. I can hold my own bladder, and if not, it's her loss. Well, seeing that you're seeing someone, or some one, the jewellery should stay in the display cabinet.

(Please, anyone, don't try to make sense of this. I just left a relationship two days ago and I am still reeling from it. Reelly.)

Quite right, especially so when you're the person himself.

I am soooo not attracted to looks without brains. I mean at first yes but after you get to know them no.

Looks are important, but I think the more diverse and intelligent the person the more attractive they become.

As far as smarter than me, thats great, I never claimed to be the most intelligent. A good match compliment each other.

I have no expectations of meeting someone who's smarter than me, but I can't see dating a dummy.

At some point I need other parts of my body (brain) stimulated.
