Has this happened to you? You end up talking to a woman who lives somewhere else, and when she tells you the location, suddenly you "might" just know somebody there and say like "Oh..I know someone there." Good friend of mine..I knew her for a while and used to live here."

And for response, it's not a discussion anymore but more like an interrogation. Like guys shouldn't have female friends or something..because then you are immediately suspicious and while she keeps going around what she wants to ask, you can feel that she is suddenly jealous and distances herself the way she talks.

I would chalk it up to someone being insecure. I would call it one of those warning signs that you might want to pay attention to if you were looking for things to go further.

I've never understood why there should be a problem with having friends of the opposite sex. I work at a lumber yard and deal with builders, I grew up with 3 younger brothers, my dealings through work are mainly with men. So yes, I know a lot of men.

I had an ex call me out of the blue the other day. He asked about my house and I mentioned someone that had helped with something. The immediate response was -so are you dating him? Insecurity-plain and simple, possibly mixed in with some control issues down the road.

then no doubt she has done one a favor, as this is one that NO ONE will be able to make happy, EVER, until she allows and accepts and gives the same freedom and trust she demands for herself, but NEVER gives to anyone else...

a real favor indeed, the universe hath done for thee, in these cases it so be, lol...

Actually I would be more worried if someone wouldn't have any friends whatsoever, and would never talk about them Regardless of guys or women. Now..that's what is suspicious!

So please...after age 30...it would be WEIRD for any guys not having any relationships in their past..or any female friends who are just friends...especially if I'm single. Yes I know many women..no I didn't sleep with them...yes I kissed them maybe...no they are not my girlfriends, yes they still talk to me time to time like "Merry Christmas"..
I feel like I only attract the crazy people. scared

Well, you're a step ahead if you can recognize they are crazy before getting any farther. Now you just to hone your skills to not get that far to begin with.drinker drinker

Well that's what you get for dating women. laugh Sure they are pretty and smell good, but look what you have to put up with. It's why I have so few female friends. Most of my friends are male and the horror stories are hilarious. I always tell them, well...you picked her. Pick more wisely next time.

I have to agree a little with pkd, gotta be some insecurity.

One of my best friend is a guy and about half of my friends are single guys. I wouldn't want someone to tell me who I should have as friends or freak out because I have friends of the opposite sex.

That is weird. Normally mutual acquaintances are comforting, and known female acquaintances have been known to trigger that competition thing in women, not that I would ever be amused by 2 women in competition with each other :)

Maybe she knew the girl you used to be friends with and it sent up red flags, or she already had cold feet and this was just an excuse to unload some excess baggage?

There are a lot of crazy people in the world, and it seems like even more one the Internet, don't let it bother you.

Just keep doing what you're doing.

OP I am not trying to be rude or anything, when the interrogation began why not nip it in the bud?

I personally wouldn't allow someone to do that to me. I have had some guys that I was really intersted in pull that jealous insecure card with me and it is huge turn off. I have more male friends that I do female. If a guy had a problem with that it wouldn't work out. I will not deal with jealousy.. Not enough time in the world to waste that way.

well, women!!!

can anyone answer this - why is it so that they want one thing, and in the quest of that want do some other thing and that, while doing some other thing they are infact, thinking about some other thing...man!! it's so difficult to explain women LOGICALLY!!

Jealousy...the green eyed monster. Only way to deal with that is sock 'em, give 'em a black eye instead and run in the other direction.scared

People who have trust issues are actually the ones who can't be trusted, in my experience. I've never cheated, and met a serial cheater that was soooooo in love with me that he couldn't/didn't cheat. But he didn't believe monogamy existed so since he wasn't cheating, I must have been!noway frustrated

Had to tell him not to let the door hit him where the good Lord split him.biggrin
