I came across something I thought was cool, so I used it as an email.. I always hear women saying they dont want a guy who plays games.. Do you like guys who play games? I play chess, monopoly, checkers, chutes and ladders, and candyland. Do you like to play games?--- This was the email I sent.. And I didnt get a response. I have no creativity writting emails I guess.

I have had absolutely no luck with sending out e-mails, either.

I've tried it; I tried it when I first signed up here.

Not once did I ever get a reply.

Now, if a guy who has published 3 books and written numerous other things can't even get a single response to a first e-mail....?

It's not like I don't know how to write something amusing, interesting, vaguely threatening, or whatever....!!



But seriously -- I gave up on sending out first e-mails ages ago.

I posted in the forums 20,000 times. Then THEY started writing to ME first. I prefer it that way.

I have found that games are a good way to socialize, develop mental creativity and problem-solving, and a great way to relieve stress. It is surprising to me, maybe just bad luck, that quite a few women I've met are not into leisure games of any kind. You don't have to be a child to play games. I know 45 year olds that play Madden and World of Warcraft. And poker is no longer just a man's game, and neither is pool.

For some pathetic reason I feel that I should write an extensive email along with asking questions. To no avail, all have been read but no response. I can tell Im trying to hard. I think its time to try a differant approch (sp), Instead of being a gentleman and polite about it maybe I should just pick on them and shove thier face in the mud... I know lastnight I was IMing a woman for along time being jokingly rude and making crap up, Not being personal at all about myself and we hit it off.

It helps if you get to know people in the forums first. There is no guarantee that your email will get a response, but you have a better chance if it's to a person you've talked to in the forums, because at least then you have built up a rapport with them and it's like talking to someone you know. Otherwise, you're just some random dude who wants to talk to a random chick, and that might be weird for some people. It is to me anyway.

But seriously, I'm sure it would still work; it's like being a telemarketer and cold-calling people to sell them stuff, you get a lot of hangups. If you work from a list of already established clients, you get better reception. If nothing else you could always email someone about a post a nutbag made and laugh about it.
