surprised How long would you wait for someone in a long distance relationship, and do you think it could last?surprised

It wouldn't work for me - he has to be near me so I can hug and squeeze and kiss and so he can mow my lawn laugh

I'm thinking they'd it would be very tough to have one, especially if you both have deep roots in your own states...

I think it all depends... on how long before you meet in person... what that first meeting went... level of communication... scheduled times to meet... and discussion of relocating closer.

I think it's really up to the couple.

i think it would be hard...but if possible worth it if the distance wasn't an issue for too long

I guess it really depends on what the distance is.

You can make it work if you both want to, distance mean nothing when you love someone. Congrats on finding someone and I wish you both the best!

Believe me, if I know he's the one for me and it is meant to be, there isn't a distance that will keep me from being with the one I love. All things can be worked out with time, including moving to a new location if necessary.

Best of luck to you both.

For me, my LDR lasted almost 6 months...then I relocated 1200 miles to be with him. That was 16 months ago. We are still together! It can work, like somebody said, if it's something both want and are willing to work towards.

what works for some people doesn't work for others

it depends more on the people than the distance

for the right people no distance is insurmountable

and for some people a hour away is too far

I'm a Texan and my girlfriend (papersmile) is in Toronto. its not always easy but nothing that is worth having comes easy

LDR's work great for fantastic friends.
Many things can keep them from becoming more.
We all have to live our lives, as BEST we can.
NEVER means that the level of caring CAN'T be intense.
