No two people are totally alike and think the same way on everything so misunderstandings and tiffs will always happen. If communnication, trust and love are real then I believe anything can be worked out!

How does true love stand the test of time?

the greatest test of genuine love is when one has a thought the other finishes it....

or

I have noticed throughtout my short life that older couples that had been married for years, when one died no matter how healthy the other one was, they died a short time later, that always cemented the thought to me that they truly loved each other and couldn't or didn't want to live without the other....just a thought

 I feel that if TWO people HAVE THAT REAL LOVE,,,,
YES,,,THEY can over-come any and ALL obstacles that lay before them,,,as their love will analyze and talk and grow through them..

To always be better and stronger in their love for each other...

Of course such things happen..it's about making a decision. Being happy where you are, losing the desire to keep looking for something better...
Most times there is a spat, some act as though it's the end of the world and all is lost..so they start to stray and look for a better deal.
Usually the same pattern and it just happens again.
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have said..we just knew that we wanted to be together, we settled in and made a decision, this is who I want..so if a problem came along, we reminded ourselves and each other, this is where I want to be..and so the problem was not so big after all.
They never did marry and have been together for what now..25/30 years now.

From what I know if there are no tiffs, misunderstadings then it's not a healthy relationship.

As a single person, I obviously haven't figured that out in practice, but I believe it happens. I see it with other 'successful' couples who wake up each day and love each other to the best of their ability and live in the moment.

Of course...
Or maybe the answer is that they MUST be or the first question would be a moot one.

hence proving that a piece of paper,DOES not have to be the
CEMENT for a real loving lasting relationship.wink..
I love them both,,,and her daughter,,,looks just like her,wink..
They all rock, for having and showing that love,,,and KEEPING IT,,,all this time in the Hollywood enviorment,,,,wink..

I believe in the real deal that will stand the test of time. Havent found it yet, though. I think if there is a solid foundation built with love for each other when times get hard you have that to fall back on and hopefully get stronger and better as a couple. Would like to believe that anyway!smile2
