The Yankees should focus on the wild card race and not finishing the regular season ahead of boston. For one thing, the yankees pitching could be alot better, considering the fact that the Orioles, which is the team that I usually root for, took 2 out of three games from them this week. Also, I agree with Kingbreeze that Roger Clemmens is too old to be playing baseball and the fact that he really has not performed very well in the games that he has pitched this season. I think the yankees will probably have to play the Indians or the Tigers before they face the Red Sox in the postseason.

i think the yankees and red sox will face each other in the ALCS Red sox have proven they have been the best team all year but i am still pulling for the yankees. all the games should be great no matter what teams make the playoffs

I'm not much of a yankees fan, but I do think they have a half way decent chance with Joba Chamberlin, Former Nebraska pitcher, pitching. He's been doing pretty good.

Well - it appears the Yenkee's not only had a chance, they've made it. Turns out now Torre needs to make sure the Red Sox take the division - that way the Sox face the Angels - who they own in the playoffs - and the Yanks get the Indians - who they own. This should assure us of the Yanks against the Sox in the divisional finals. Well All-right!!! Can't wait. By far the best two teams in Baseball.
