Where will we put Teddy?


This Teddy who has been in our lives for so long.

Teddy,protector of children,home.

Teddy of the sad brown eyes.

Teddy, who won't go out alone in the darkness.


Where will we put Teddy?

River edge wanderer,sun warmed fur.

Taking in mountains,home and family.


Hard to let him go.

To be a picture in a frame.

Puppy to dog.

It's almost time

to say goodbye

to Teddy


and the wind sings

we don't put Teddi anywhere, except where he has always been, In our hearts and in our memories. Much enjoyed.

My two year old Granddaughter fell into a cook out bomb-fire
earlier this year,(she's fine now)

And along with her, fell her Teddy,,,,,,it didn't survive and was a one-of-a-kind.....sooooo by the time I arrived at the burn center Hospital,,,,it was about seven hours after her accident.
I was in ahhhhh, as she was fast asleep all bandaged up to her shoulders with both arms,,and her head,,there beside her, with it under one arm, was a NEW Teddy,,,,I said with tears falling,,,how,,,where did the Teddy come from?
The staff at the Burn center gave it to her before she fell asleep.
THATS a Teddy story and THIS write you made here reminded me just how much we all NEED Teddy's......Thank You and keep them coming..


A foot note,,,I went out and got a bag full of Teddy's and returned them to the staff with big smiles and hand shakes,,,with my thanks to all of them for what they had done...

Sorry I wrote so much,,,,,forgive me , I was moved..

Finn...it's the saying goodbye that's the hardest part.
