WHEN I FIRST DECIDED TO BECOME OBIDENT AND START GOING TO CHURCH IT WAS
IN FAYETTEVILLE NORTH CAROLINA. I WAS STAYING AT THE SALVATION ARMY THERE. HAD TROUBLE FINDING A JOB BECAUSE OF MY DISABILTY. THEY HIRE ME AS A BELL RINGER IT WAS AFTER THANKS GIVING I DECIDED TO COME TO FREDERICK MARYLAND TO FINISH GETTING MY BOOK PUBLISHED PEOPLE THERE AT THE SHELTER WERE TRYING TO TALK ME OUT OF GOING TO FREDERICK BUT I CAME HERE ANYWAY. THE OTHER PEOPLE THAT WERE STAYING IN THE SHELTER WERE DISAPPOINTED AND TOLD ME IT WAS A MISTAKE BUT ONCE I GOT HERE GOD BROUGHT ME INTO FREDERICK SUPERNATURALLY WITH A NEWSPAPER ARTICLE ABOUT ME AND MY BOOK BEING PUBLISHED AND EVERYTHING ELSE. IF I WOULD HAVE LISTEN TO THOSE PEOPLE IN FAYETTEVILLE I WOULD HAVE MISS OUT ON GOD'S MIRACLES IN MY LIFE. |

Back in 98 i had a very strong recommitment to the Lord, I was attending
church regularly and reading my bible on my own with a heart of contriteness and desire for his word. One day as i was reading the word i got to the Ten commandments. I had a neighbor at the time who was very unfriendly, and he hated my 2 dogs and threatened them one day with a bat, needless to say i had very hostile feelings towards him and he knew it. Anyways when i got to "Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbor, It was so powerful and scary, because as i read the word LOVE it crashed through my head as loud as a low flying jet, really it did!! It scared me intensely!! I took two days to gather my courage before i spoke to him. Oh yeah!! as the word LOVE crashed through my mind and startled me so badly, i looked up and out of my window and there he was. There was no doubt the God wanted me to approach him and appologize and show him that i coud love him.Anyways, 2 days later i walked up to him appologised and also explained what happened to me, i also told him that if he ever needed a hand with anything that i was right here for him whenever he needed me. I thought he'd think me crazy for what i told him, but his reaction was, if you ever need anything i'm here also!! so, that's one of my God taught lessons. |

Wow what a great
testimony rproman. That's why I love God's word because so much positivity comes out of it. Being obedient, in a way prevents problems and stress later down the road. Thank you for sharing so much! |

Fourty years ago I first got saved. My grandmothers on both sides read
to me from the Bible as a small child. My grandmother on my mother's side was an Evangelist in Mexico and my grandfather on my dad's side was a pastor in Vina, Alabama. My dad was an Athiest and my mother is a holy roller. Many of my aunts on both sides are missionaries. From the age of ten that I can remember we went to many tent revivals. As kids we would sing gospel songs in the back of my step grandfather's truck while we were going to the tent revivals. Since I lived under the rules of a very abusive father I accepted my heavenly father with open arms and Jesus Christ became my close personal friend since I didn't get to have friends because dad moved so many times due to the fact that he was in the military. I learned to depend on God because being treated like a yoyo tossed back between my dad and mom affected my personality since they divorsed before I was three years old. In my life people have let me down many times but God has never let me down even once. |

Wonderman I feel God is so powerful in your life. He is
present through the skills and talent He gave you to write poetry. Then you published a book of poetry. That is just a blessing |

"I learned to depend on God because being treated like a yoyo tossed back between my dad and mom affected my personality since they divorsed before I was three years old. In my life people have let me down many times but God has never let me down even once." That is a beautiful testimony you share. |

You are so right bored, I forgot to mention, hehe, that as i finished
speaking with him and turned away and started walking back to the house, the tears just gushed out, i was feeling so releived, ashamed of old attitude, and so much lighter, for obeying him. |

Amen I truly believe in obedience when it comes to God.
There are SEVERAL times it all worked out better by doing so. I also had times when I didn't listen to him speaking to my spirit and things turned out for the worst. I plan to share just give me time. I have a formal speech tomorrow |
