Back when I actually viewed profiles, I stayed in stealth because I didn't want them assuming I was interested. Sometimes I'd view a profile because I couldn't see the thumbnail pic very well, maybe I viewed because the person said something stupid or interesting on the forums, or maybe I viewed because they viewed me first so I wondered who they were. Very, very, very rarely did I ever see anything on their profile that made me want to get to know them. I still find it amusing that people mistake passing curiosity for personal interest.

When I was single, I stayed in stealth because I kept getting IM's from people I didn't want to talk to.

maybe they are seperated or married I am neither. I am just nosy. It's fun to read profiles, but I don't want it to be construed as interest. Ya know...you keep wondering why you can't find a quality guy... Try putting on a decent shirt. You keep wearing that Ohio State Suckeyes stuff and guys automatically assume that you are gullible.

Hmmmmm. When did they put stealth mode in? Have I been away for that long? Guess I'll have to learn how to use that. Like Calliegh said, I do the same thing (as I'm sure most of us do) if we can't see a pic real well or curious about whose been going back and forth in the forums or whatever. Usually never bothered me if somebody knows I'm checking though (even if I really was perving them
 ). Hopefully most people are on stealth cause I don't get many stalkers. lol

Let's face it. there are some people on this site that could be in a freak show. Looking at them doesn't mean I want to date them. I often look to satisfy my curiosity.

my answer is the same as calleighs is.. the emails would come in just because i looked at the profile. and a lot of them would say something of the sort i know u are interested in me because you looked at me and swear to me i had a thing for them just because i looked...

That is exactly what happens! I do like Chickayoshi--when I see one I like, I will go back and view the profile again without stealth mode turned off. And then sometimes I just feel like turning it off for a while... |
