bother you if you met someone on here & they kept their profile even though you guys were a couple? It shouldn't because this is just a mingle site not a dating site................WHY are people so insecure?

Cause men are whores.

t wouldn't bother me, but this site is advertised as a dating site...even though not all use it as such

Yes. Because ive been cheated on before and no matter how hard you try to get over it it is still in the back of your mind.

Well, this actually a dating site...with a forum.

(((Deb))) shhhh don't tell anyone but it really is a dating site.. They're even offering the option to up your chances by becoming a paying member...
To answer your question, if wouldn't bother me if I knew they weren't looking but just chatting like most of us do... |

not but would like it to be clear the intentions for being on the site were clearly stated and the relationsip was respected and not kept secret

It depends on their disposition. If they are still representing themselves as single, I would take issue; however, if they changed their details to show “not available” then I wouldn’t care!
This is a social site! I wouldn’t leave Mingle. |

I wouldn't mind because I would most likely have mine up too. But if he ignores my messages on the site, then I would have a problem.

Yes. Because ive been cheated on before and no matter how hard you try to get over it it is still in the back of your mind. People can do what they want of course, but like him, I've also been cheated on. Kind of puts things in perspective. Cancel the Mingle2 account, and if it doesn't work out, you can always re-join. |

Several members make it known they are "couples". I endear our Mingle couples!
Dan and Pink Lady Quiet and PaperSmile The Captain and Eileen Peccy and Georgia Peach (is that right?) I apologize if I missed a few. |

YUM@ MELODY I think that's the first time she has heard something like that. |

that was quite the novel and unique approach wasn't it?
just make caveman noises at the girls you like |

hmm,, only if they were ACTIVE still. I joined many a site in the past that my profile is still on but I NEVER go there. I dont think a profile alone is reason to feel betrayed, however, an ACTIVE profile with new and ongoing messages and communication is certainly suspect if it is done without the involvement of ones significant other.

Well...here's a thought. I have been cheated on in 4 out of my 5 LTRs. But i still wouldn't ask her to take down her profile as long as it stated that she was with someone. The thing is...if she's gonna cheat..it really doesn't much matter where. She's gonna do it no matter what anyway. Asking her to give up friends she has made here is just insecure and childish. I can promise one thing. If I meet someone here, and she asks me to remove my profile...it won't happen. She is either secure enough in herself to trust that I am exactly who I say I am ( which means that I don't cheat...period ) or she isn't someone that I want to be with. I have dealt with the insecure, jealous bullchit way too much to be willing to deal with it anymore. |

I would be ok with them having a profile. I wouldnt be with them if i thought they would be meeting up with anyone from online.

why would I mind if papersmile kept her profile on here?
or why should she mind if I do? the only reason we are on mingle is 1. its a handy form of communication through the emails 2. we both like to bug the shiit out of people in the forums |

As long as they indicate on their profile they're in a relationship and not looking any longer, and if they weren't willing to do that, I'd be suspicious. I wouldn't expect anyone to give up friends.
