The middle of summer, in the evening... a late night date...when the day
had finally cooled.

As i got out of the car I noticed a path of outdoor candles had been
made, and so followed them away from th house, and into the garden.

There I found a bedouin tent, made with an old fashioned mozzie
net, strung from a tree, surrounded outside, by more outdoor candles.

Inside the tent were mattresses, cushions, soft blankets, a feast of
finger foods, chilled wine, and glasses.

Incense wafted on the light summer breeze, sandlewood...the perfect
date...the best company and conversation...we talked and laughed, and
played guitar, and sang, out under the stars, in our own little tent,
until graced with dawn's first blush.

Perfect. Romantic.

I like the whole "chase me until you catch me".. idea... in the typical
sense.. nothing crazy... and just be very respectful and truthful..

Okay then Inquiring Minds, LOL... As a woman... I tend to like the
basics.. Flowers, ect... But prolly th emost romantic thing a man has
ever done for me, was listen when I talk and actually give me an
answer... One that is actually an answer to what I was saying.. LOL!

BUT DONT FORGET THE FLOWERS... especially if you send them for no reason
whatsoever.... :D

My ex, when we were dating, he brought me a feather from his bird,
because the feather was pretty, and a roll of nickels because I lived in
the city and needed them for parking meters.

I used to date this girl named Lora. For christmas, I made her this
collage type thing. It had a souvenir from every date we had gone on. A
movie stub, a receipt for a dozen roses, etc..and it also spelled her
named down the side, and I put something after each letter of her name

L - ovely
0- ne of a kind
R- adiant
A- dorable

I gave it to her and she said "cool". that was it...no thanks, no hug. I
put my heart into that gift and I didnt even get a thank you. is it just
me, or is that rude?

Wouldn't most women be happy to get a gift like that?

She probably thought you were a weirdo Ryan. Before doing something
"romantic" think to yourself what would a stalker do? If the answer to
that question is the same as what you were thinking of doing then change
the plan.....

Aw, Ryan, that stinks that she didn't appreciate your effort. I think
what you did sounds very sweet. :)

One time this man took me out to dinner and a couple of drinks, he told
me jokes and we were just having fun. The romantic part for me was when
he looked over to watch another couple across the room, and said, "I
wish that was us holding hands and kissing!" Then he asked me he could
hold my hand and leaned in for a kiss! That was romantic! love

For me I like when he remembers what I've said. My likes and dislikes.
I know you can't get it right all the time but it makes me feel special
to have what I've said remembered. Also the little things like a flower
out of the blue or a candy bar when you go into pay for gas, just to let
me know your thinking of me.

i like the little surprise gifts, like holding hands, like being
held.... i like things that show i am special to the guy i am with

does that help at all crash?

I agree. It's the little gestures, small tokens that let you know you
were on their mind. A dozen red roses are over rated, and expensive,
IMHO, go pick me some fresh gardenia any day! Write something, do
something, say something. I call them "happys". Take a "happy" to a
friend who's had surgery, like some lotion, doesn't have to be
expensive. (Course, I guess you don't want HER to be romantic with!)
Just saying, cook them dinner, rub their feet...anything like that let's
you know they care.
