New lady on mingle, she is intelligent, beautiful, and my age. Why does she have to be over 14 hours away by car?! Haha, at least you're not Australian, over here everything and everyone's at least fouteen hours away by car, usually more. |

Distance shouldnt matter... You could be like me and meet a girl in Iraq and then get shipped back home and never get to see or talk to her again..... Did that when I was in Germany, lol. Proposed to her while we were both deployed to Bosnia, then I got sent to New York and she stayed in Bosnia for 9 more months. Things fell apart at that point. that's because long distance relationships follow the same progression as affairs... once the "titillating" part of the relation ship ends (i.e. the distance) you are stuck with real life and a relationship - having not spend anytime actually bonding and relating (other than very intense and in-frequent visits) the "relationship" ends. Sometimes they do succeed, but it is not the normal (IMHO)... Good luck to you... $.02 |

A long distance relationship may work for some people. But not for me. I think 1 person would eventually need to relocate. I'm not interested in dating a man that I would only see maybe 1-2 times a month.
